You have Menu Overhaul activated. Are you launching with ff7_mo.exe set as the FF7 Exe?

Post your Profile Details, as stated at the end of the Tutorial.

The \mods\Textures folder will always "appear" empty, but that's normal. The Aali Driver reads from that folder to apply PNG textures into the game. 7H will temporarily inject the PNG files from the texture mods you've downloaded into the \mods\Textures folder that you've assigned in the Settings. It's a chain of runtime events that occurs only while playing the game, but not while outside the game.

Check your Workshop -> Settings and see that the Aali Mod Path is pointing to G:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods\Textures

Your first app log shows a GTX 1060, and the second using Intel HD. Go to the Nvidia Control Panel and add all the exe to be used by the GPU. There's also a 391.01 driver update you can try. I'm not sure these relate to your crashing, but I want to eliminate the possibility first before moving on to the 7H side.

Run the game converter again and choose to overwrite. Then post your Profile Details if it crashes with the full list of mods you want to use.

Well, I don't believe the original release installs any of the movies from the CDs, so the movies folder created by the game converter is left empty. You will either need to download the movies category from the Catalog or place the movie files manually into C:\Games\FF7\data\movies

Btw, you say you cleaned the keys, but if that were the case then the game converter would not detect the patch already applied. Not sure why it does, but just wanted to point that out.

I've noticed a lot of issues when users have C:\Games\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII as their game path. I don't think the spaces, comma and period play very well with the game converter. Try installing into a shorter path such as C:\Games\FF7

The problem won't be MO specifically. It'll either be a user error in the setup, or a 7H compatibility issue.

The written tutorial specifically states at the end what to do if something appears broken or not working...

Because that list wasn't fulfilled, I didn't bother to continue. I'm really sorry that I didn't help. Anyone who's been here long enough knows how long I've worked on this project and how much I love it. But, it's gotten to the point now where I can't keep up with the posts, and my time is not free. On top of that, YT changed their policies last month, so I don't even make the few dollars to pay for the storage fee.

Anyways, the point is...I need more than just I description of the problem to spend time problem solving everything. That, or someone/something capable of providing me with a living and/or take care of my kids, so that I may spend my time on this project instead  :P

If SE can fix the rendering issues found presently within the benchmark, then there may be hope for steady 4k gameplay, or at the very least, 1440p.

I have added hext support in the next release, which rids any use of extra exes. I'll need someone to check over and possibly edit any issues with stat changes, but it should be much easier to do than the current way of switching assigned exes in Workshop - > Settings - > FF7 Exe.

v1.54 is referring to the 7H client. That client version has no effect on the Catalog version, which is listed inside 7H from the Catalog tab. It's a tad confusing, but yeah...I don't know of an easier way to list :)

Yes, I sometimes take out options because the file size for downloading in the Catalog gets too big.

If I were to list every mod individually in the Catalog, the scroll bar would go on forever and new users wouldn't know where to begin. Compatibility would be a huge issue also.

If I were to group every mod into their respective categories, the file sizes would be too large for those with limited internet bandwidth. So, I do it this way but sometimes cut a few options to reduce the file size.

I don't really know of any middle ground to doing this. 

I'm looking at 7H to see how .exe changes are implemented with it; when that's done, and assuming no issues have arisen with the executable changes, I'll release the new installer + 7H IRO to replace the old non-exe ones.

Could you look into converting the exe changes to a hex file using DLPB tools. I have done so with MO and Becuase exes, so the next update to 7H no longer needs separate exe file paths to be assigned in Workshop -> Settings -> FF7 Exe

Interesting. You shouldn't have to change discs after assigning FF7DISC1 to a drive letter from the game converter. FF7DISC1 will progress each disc change on a working playthrough. Try assigning FF7DISC3 to the same drive letter you had 1 and 2 on, then run the game converter to update the registry key with that letter.

I don't think the Avalanche GUI is compatible with Aali Driver 0.8x. It was created during the 0.7.11b era and broke after the Aali Driver was updated. 7H was developed all during the 0.8x era, so there's no way to go back without breaking so many other things. I'll take a look at it once more, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I've pretty much burnt myself out on 7H development, so catering to individuals' needs is not something I spend much time on anymore.

Yes, I know what you mean about the exes. Remember, I only gather others work and add them to the 7H Catalog. I am not a modder. So if any major issues crop up, I probably won't be capable of fixing them. It's good to report them though, as perhaps someone else could take it into their own hands to try and fix.

Still working on it now, but close to release (I hope). No ETA will be given. Just wait please.

Hey Daniel! Well done with the detailed and  pro work so far mate! So when the new version is released will we see an update notification in the 7th Heaven projects list?  Do we have to download it again or will the new iro file reconstract the older one?

It'll be a completely new download that should notify when it's been updated. I don't do patch updates unless it's a small amount of files needed to fix something. R06 will be such a significant change to the previous that doing a patch update would take way more effort than I am willing to do to sort through what would be changed and what would remain untouched.

Try opening the config file and checking for direct mode = on.

Try right clicking and running 7H as an administrator.
