General discussion / FF7 PSN (or PSX-PSP) difficulty mods?
« on: 2012-04-05 02:44:28 »
Hey fellow Qhimm members! It's been a while. I hope you are all doing fine! I doubt anyone remembers who I am, but on to my question.

Are there currently any mods (difficulty mods is what I'm after) for either: the PSN version of FF7 or the PSX-PSP version of FF7?
I've read many moons ago that it was possible and I remember seeing a work-in-progress of a mod or two on the PSX version, but I that was too long ago.

I've PM'ed a couple of members about my question (only 1 responded, btw thank you for doing so), and I received a well-thought-out answer to my question, but I'd rather just make a thread about it and see what everybody's input is or if there are such mods out there.

Thanks in advance  :)

What the hell?
That is exactly what I thought.

Nude designs on a forum where everyone is welcome. EVERYONE including the younger population.

What is the matter with you Jenova's Witness? Honestly.

As for the OP, I like these designs. They're interesting in a good way  :)

Thank you.. thank you all for the comments ^_^.. Anyway shall I proceed to the battle model? What If I replace the buster sword with the main sword of omni cloud in his back in the battle model? What do you think?
Hm, although the sword looks cool, but I think there is one problem with that -- in the scenes where Cloud draws his sword (the Buster Sword), it would show that he has 2 swords -- one on his back and the other one where he draws it. Unless there is a fix for that, but if there isn't, I wouldn't suggest it. Your call of course  :)

Then you might as well have to copy the link and paste them on the address bar. It worked for me.
That's what I had done and it said there was an error or that it could not find it. It's best to post the hyperlink of it...

Hm, an interesting design.

Is it just me or is he wearing short shorts and high heels? And he's a little bit too white, in my opinion.

But it looks good.

The shorts are a bit weird, and yes, too white, but overall, good start!  :)

Hello guys this time I wanna create a custom model for cloud in both field and battle model, I call It Omni Cloud because of its semi-ninja outfit and RPG's Look.
here are some photos of field model:
If its ok I wanna release it, Feild model is already done before I continue for making the battle model there is one question I may ask, Is this approved or not?
The images don't show  :(

start your own country. i'm in.
When I read your comment, I think of that one episode of Family Guy where Peter makes his own country called Petoria.

You can sing this song when you own your own country and breaking laws in another country lol  :D

like the title says, if anyone here uses it, I need some help. I want to set up a game with a friend on epsxe, and I got into the server browser screen, but as soon as the game starts we loose connection. Anyone have any ideas?

Any help is appreciated.
I don't use it, and I'll just spitball here -- do you guys have the same version? Same settings?

Completely unrelated / Re: Religion

Everytime I come on any forum, FB or anything related with online chatting and see anything titled "Religion" or anything of that sort, I start to laugh. Why? Because we can all pretty much expect what is going to happen -- some views exchanged, others giving their views and then everything goes down the drain.

I dunno why bother posting these type of threads if it will bring major flaming, humiliation and insult someone's morals. Oh well, we all can't think alike so maybe it is needed so that we can see what the other eye sees.

and to you, obesebear, you are the worst of all. You and DLPB. This quote proves how ignorant and backward you are. Do you really think that killing these people will solve anything? Do you really think you can erase history? No, knowledge stays. Would you kill the innocent, who have done nothing wrong their entire lives, because they simply believe in something you don't understand? You are just as bad as Hitler, because you know what you're considering? Genocide. You bastards.
What's wrong with you? Isn't it ignorant to refer to someone as ignorant just based on a sentence that you obviously did not comprehend correctly?

How the hell would you feel if your home was bombed? Would you still say "I must not fight I must not fight I must not fight because it will not solve anything. I'll just sit around, bite my tongue, and endure all the destruction heading towards me." Obesebear has served (or is?) his country, so he obviously knows more than I on this particular matter. I'm sure as heck he knows more than what you manage to conjure up with.

I believe, that you believe in the "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" type of thing. I respect that quote, but that is only to a certain extent man get with the program!!

Oh and fyi, he didn't mean the Islamic religion. He meant the Al-Qaeda terrorist group. Who's ignorant now...

Just finished checking out what I have missed and WOW amazing!! Awesome work indeed!

I have a question -- Will it ever be possible to have pop-out menus, sort of like FF8-related? If this has been discussed, answered or done, please, slap me on the back of the head.  :P

All in all, loving this so far. Like Prince Lex said, makes me want to install FF7 again.

Ah nice, and thank you for your reply.

I'll need to fully master DFF first and then purchase this game. :D

It's a short game. As the title suggests, it's the prologue to the main game. The story only lasts about an hour at the most.
Ah I see. Are the battle mechanics different in the Dissidia 012 than in the first one? Also, how are the battle mechanics in the Prologus?

Sorry for all of these questions.

You have to pay. Your pretty much paying for the Aeris assist.
So, it's a demo or a really short game?

I've yet to try this game out!! I've read (on here and on YT) about this game and it seems worth the while in playing.

Also, there's a Prologus Dissidia Duodecim and Dissidia 012. What is the Prologus? Is it a short game that shows the events prior to Dissidia 012? It only costs like $2.99 so I was wondering if it was an add-on at first.

Why the heck does this thread keep poppin' up? (I know I know, because we are replying to it; just as I am doing right now)

This thread is random (I know the CU Forum is made for the purpose of "random"), but now it is so random that it is highly unreadable. It's random gibberish imo.

Why oh why do we care this much about whether planes are safer than cars or not?

To answer my own question: We don't.
We don't. This thread is now about who has the biggest "e-peen."

Scratch that above statement -- it was a bit harsh. I apologize.

I personally wish there were some way for people to go to their profile, click on the "ignore board options" link, tick the "completely unrelated" box and change their profile. Then they wouldn't have to see anything they didn't want to see.
You can do that? Wow, I did not know that; not that I would do it anyway to begin with. I'd rather just go about my business and do something else. It is not like "OMG I must read this!" ha.  ;D

FF7 Gameplay Releases / Re: gjoerulv's "Hardcore" mod
« on: 2011-03-26 00:49:35 »
As I've stated many times, I've got several "complains" my mod is too easy (emails and whatnot). I'm kinda between the crossfire here lol. Eventually I'll release more difficulty options.
Wha? Easy? I found it quite difficult when I tried it out a long time ago. Then again I didn't really bother to level because I wanted to see the changes. How silly of me.  :P

Anyways, keep up the nice work; saw that vid on YouTube... Good stuff.

Wow this is quite impressive! I would now feel the need to press "print screen" during the showing of some of these and save it as wallpaper.  :P

Didn't bother reading this embarrassment of a thread (the trolling parts) so I'll just say one thing: Some people can really get into discussions as these.

I should read up on it to see why and what lead to these events. I'm afraid that by doing so, I would feel the need to punch myself in the gut for being all interested in a thread in which is calling certain people out.

Well, today (march 21st 2011), it's the birthday of Nobuo Uematsu. He just got 52. I guess this is something we could talk about, right?

Read about that. It sucks big time. Drowning and being hit right in the face with rushing water is possibly one of the worst deaths. :(

I hope everything gets fixed; even though right now it is unlikely to say.

How it is looking:
I like the way it looks.

Although, does the "o" in "Meteor" on the second line seem a bit, smaller than the other letters?

Upon my return, I have looked over that which I missed in this thread and I have to say, WOW. You guys are doing well on this and I look forward to seeing more. :D

I think he's complaining about Mexicans takin' his jerbs.

Watch out, endlessdamage; you might start to come off as a little bit racis'
Yes, he might want to cut it out. I'm no mod or anything to have the power to do so, but I am a Mexican, born and raised in the U.S.

What he displayed and what he had to say about it; I take that as a major insult.
