Congratulations, Kaldarasha.

52
Well, Kaldarasha is a great FF7 graphics artist and I am really glad to see him give his contribution which is truly invaluable.

Hopefully you can combine forces and really provide FF7 with the best possible retouched background screens.

I fear it is a long and tedious work though.

All my best to you guys!

53
Eh the last piece under construction is very, very unclear.

The one above though is a remarkable improvement over the former translation. Much smoother.

Soon you should also be ready with all the SFX! :)

54
Tsunamix,

thanks for the update! It is a thrilling one too! I am sorry it is much more work than you expected but I suspected it was very time consuming because other authors mentioned the workload being quite heavy.

I wish I could be of help but I am not really good with graphic and tools. I hope someone else can lean a more significant support than my mere moral one.

55
Another step towards the goal...

I am so looking forward to replay the game and  have it make so much more sense!

56
Hey Tsunamix,

how is the work on this proceeding? Giving you problems or is it smooth sailing?

I commend you for trying to perfect this technique and provide what I hope may be the ultimate upgrade to the original field scenes.

57
Much better!  ;)

58
Best of luck with this, Tsunamix!

I will keep an eye on this thread and I wish you complete success!

I have been in contact with Yarlson about his last, impressive attempt to rework the field scenes (here: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=16752.0) and he said that he would welcome somebody to pass the torch to because he is not currently able (and does not know when and if he will ever be) to continue working on it.

This has been noted a few times and can't be fixed in the installer itself. I am not sure if it's noted in the readme.  Set your screen dpi settings to 100 and rerun the installer.

I think Windows 10 gives you also the possibility of running an executable with the option of disabling the DPI scaling.

That can be done rather than changing the global settings.

jmp434,

have you managed to find some other artist that could help you with your work?

Godspeed!

61
A very interesting analysis of the FPS problem.

One question: you mentioned the count for your PC being 3318408 / second, resulting in an almost perfect 60 FPS number. Does it mean that less powerful CPUs would yield a less good result?

62
We are all so looking forward to R06!

Thanks again for all the hard work.

Like others, I personally feel the removing of the Quit button was not such a good idea. I have read the reasons why you wanted it out, DLPB, but there was no real harm in keeping it there for those that actually have use for it. This is, after all, still a PC port and it is no shame in having a Menu option to quit to the OS, especially considering it was there to begin with.

We are just nitpicking, of course. The Reunion is going to leave its indelible mark anyway!

63
Thanks for the suggestion, Covarr.

I guess that's the closest it can ever be. :)

64
Of course!

How could I even forget Lusky for a moment?

His contribution to Beacause must have been truly invaluable. I am actually wondering now how many man hours Lusky and you have put into Reunion since the very start. It must be a rather scary number...  ;D

65
Reunion is getting more and more sophisticated.

I am looking forward to version 0.6!

By the way, congratulations to Charlie Beer for joining the former one-man team! ;)

66
Hello!

I was wondering if there is a modification that allows two players (only during battles) local co-op or if there is anyone who might be interested in creating it.

This was very possible for FF V and FF VI games and it was lots of fun.

67
"Fan versions"? I assume these arrangements will be optional so that purists, like me, can enjoy the original OST?

Anxious Heart lets you choose between the original music and the third party reorchestration. Myself, I will go for the original too.

68
I think it's a very good decision.

Anybody serious about modding FF7 would want to have both Reunion and Anxious Heart! ;)

The alert sound has all that special Final Fantasy vibe!

I am sorry that your tutorials did not attract new help for the job.

I think that what you are doing all by yourself is nothing short of heroic, jmp434! :)

Amazing... Your work is breathtaking, jmp434!

Keep it up!

71
How could you!?   :-D

I do not like it much either. :-D

On a side note the dressing room in the Honeybee  Inn has a problem with its door. The red of it is black when the door is closed.

Would you please be so kind to report more of these instances if you happen to notice?

I love the idea of using this modification but I'd hate to see graphical issues/bugs, which would really break immersion.

Hopefully satsuki is going to fix this first problem soon! :)

@Salk
The minigame have not been optimised so the Grimmy version's are ok
The only one left is the menu but you can use the avalanche one for exemple ^^

Since I am going to use Reunion's Menu Enhancement (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=14914.msg209228#msg209228), do you think that is enough?

Thanks!

73
Grimmy already did the English versions for all the minigames. His post about it is on page 1.

But satsuki posted his warning only two days ago.

Doesn't it mean that there has been some changes since the first release?

Beautiful! :)

75
Ouch... I did not expect that.

We need someone to do the "tweaking" for the English version or, if it is an easy thing to do, we can do it ourselves.

Any takers?
