I was wondering if there is a modification that allows two players (only during battles) local co-op or if there is anyone who might be interested in creating it.

This was very possible for FF V and FF VI games and it was lots of fun.

"Fan versions"? I assume these arrangements will be optional so that purists, like me, can enjoy the original OST?

Anxious Heart lets you choose between the original music and the third party reorchestration. Myself, I will go for the original too.

I think it's a very good decision.

Anybody serious about modding FF7 would want to have both Reunion and Anxious Heart! ;)

The alert sound has all that special Final Fantasy vibe!

I am sorry that your tutorials did not attract new help for the job.

I think that what you are doing all by yourself is nothing short of heroic, jmp434! :)

Amazing... Your work is breathtaking, jmp434!

Keep it up!

How could you!?   :-D

I do not like it much either. :-D

On a side note the dressing room in the Honeybee  Inn has a problem with its door. The red of it is black when the door is closed.

Would you please be so kind to report more of these instances if you happen to notice?

I love the idea of using this modification but I'd hate to see graphical issues/bugs, which would really break immersion.

Hopefully satsuki is going to fix this first problem soon! :)

The minigame have not been optimised so the Grimmy version's are ok
The only one left is the menu but you can use the avalanche one for exemple ^^

Since I am going to use Reunion's Menu Enhancement (, do you think that is enough?

Grimmy already did the English versions for all the minigames. His post about it is on page 1.

But satsuki posted his warning only two days ago.

Doesn't it mean that there has been some changes since the first release?

Beautiful! :)

Ouch... I did not expect that.

We need someone to do the "tweaking" for the English version or, if it is an easy thing to do, we can do it ourselves.

Any takers?

Agreed, DLPB! ;-)

Bugs need to be removed, no matter what.

It is extremely small. [cut]. Then again, FF7 is a very easy game originally, so that may be why this stands out more.

With all due respect for your work and vision, it seems to me that there are many that are unhappy about the tightening of the screws here.

The fact that a mini game stands out for being particularly frustrating for what I would assume is the majority of the players is not even the main issue here but rather is the lack of internal consistency within the game's difficulty.

There are other mini games that can be frustrating and take a long time to master (I can think of plenty at the Golden Saucer) but they are entirely optional while here we are talking of a mandatory sequence.

Therefor I invite you to reconsider the timings for this game.

Weapon can still provide for the added challenge in the future for those who want that, after all.

I think there was very little criticism actually.

People love your work here, jmp434. :)

Good luck with the re-installation of the OS.

I pray every day I do not have to go through it.

Well, Bonkers, if you really want to give it a try, I will love to see the result!

thanks to DLPB's suggestion, I have discovered this thread of yours and I am wondering whether you are going to go through with a complete upscaling?

In my opinion, it is surely worth the effort. I can but agree with DLPB about this being so far the best result!

DPLB, I tried asking this in private but my message was blocked so, hoping you do not mind overly much, I ask here.

In one of your answers you mentioned you saw one background upscale project that had at least decent results but that you do not remember which one it was.

Since I believe that the original images are a big punch in the eye, especially against high resolution models, I was wondering if you remembered which project you were thinking of?

There are three main contributors: originally Omzy's (, then yarLson ( and last satsuki ( Even if none of them is much to your taste, I personally found each of them being superior to the original images but I would like to know which one is the "least bad" in your respected opinion. You were possibly thinking of satsuki's? That is my guess, anyway...

Thanks for your attention and good luck with the development of R06!

Thanks for sharing the video!

I personally cannot think of ever playing the original game again without the revised text made by Reunion's "Beacause" by DPLB ( so my suggestion is to make it fully compatible with it. I know this is tough because it means that either Reunon's users or vanilla game users will be cut out but I just thought I'd make you guys aware.

Best of luck!

Unfortunately I can but agree with DLPB.

The skill of our talented friend jmp434 is under everyone's eyes and relatively speaking he can produce scenes very fast too! But there are simple too many of them... :(

Amazing how after all this time you keep finding stuff to perfect, DLPB!

So looking forward to R05!

Never finish learning something new (and usually bad) about the PC port, uh? :)

Incidentally, a "score" of 60% indicating a near perfect performance is completely counter-intuitive.

I am very glad to hear you have been working on this "minigame" because I found it completely meaningless and arbitrary in its rating.

I never made any sense out of it.

Oh yes, thank you for the reminder about the bugtracker.

I honestly cannot even remember so well what the original model of Yuffie looks like...

Haven't played the game again for so long beacause R05 is what I need! ;)
