FF7 Other Mod Releases / Re: [REL] The Reunion
« on: 2014-01-12 17:10:15 »
Been playing and really enjoying the new localization (up to Cosmos Canyon myself) and I had a thought:

Would it be possible to add some sort of optional hack/cheat to The Reunion that allows you to activate/see all the hidden scenes regardless of who's in your party, like seeing Tifa and Aerith's scenes in Gongaga Village about Zax without having them in the party? I ask because you've said a want to do a full story walkthrough was what led you to start Beacause and I think something like that would really help.

Personally, the only character graphical mod I use is the Chibi Reconstruction one. It remains faithful to the original style while updating them enough to make them look better without looking weird. All the others either look too inconsistent to the original style or only change a few characters, making the game look a bit weird when you have regularly proportioned characters running around next to a ton of chibi characters. I also think the maps were made with the chibi style characters in mind, and the stiff, awkward animations look even worse with the 'fuller' sized characters.

From a completely unmodded original PC version:

FAQs and Tutorials / Chibi Consistency
« on: 2013-08-16 15:02:48 »
I was wondering which of the 'Base Models' options looks most consistent with 1) the 'Classic Chibi' field models for the party, and 2) with the whatever field models that the 'Base Models' mod doesn't affect.

Also, which of the 'Animations' option works best with the chibi models?

What all does increasing the internal resolution affect? I've set it at the original 640x480, five times that, and then ten times that, and haven't noticed any changes in graphic quality.
