Awesome !!!

But I can't use your gif with the animation (less resolution), I need the picture in high quality with the doors open.

I must finish the indoors, and after I'll work on this one. It'll be crazy !

Not for the moment. I made a pack with the 50 first backgrounds availables, so I'll make another one with the 50 next.

Soulevan =>

The picture you show me is not a finished version. Light is missing and the floor is too dark. JMP himself considered that the version I worked on was the final version, so I will not use this image, sorry.

Beautiful as always.

I'm starting to get really late! I have to get back to it

That's f***ing good !

I would have preferred the style of the original characters, but it's already a great job.

Have you seen on the Jusete Topic that the 2 screens "southmk" were available, and that I have remade the video for the explosion of the robot and the bridge ?

Finally some news !

By Faulked. This map is not really new, but I thought the original lacked textures, so I worked on it and sliced it.

same background, with the Meteor. big difficulties because Ali's driver does not handle the light effect when the rocket hits the meteor. Instead of being progressive, the effect is abrupt. After a lot of different settings, I had to realize that I would not have better.

By Faulked too. Two months of work on this one, because I had a lot of bugs (there are still some, but related to Ali's driver so it's impossible to rectify without completely redoing the modeling) and especially it was necessary that I recreate the animation of the explosion of the bridge, here is the rendering in game :

Just to say that I'm not dead ! I'm actually busy and a little tired so it's difficult for me to slice all the new backgrounds (they are amazing !).
I'm still working on Faulked's reactor screens, because I must remake the animation of the bridge explosion. I hope finishing it this week.

The reactor and elmpb are beautifull ! Good job !
I'm actually working on the Faulked screens, so I'll slice yours after. patient friends !

Just To say that I'm actually working on the reactor screens but I don't have much time, it progresses slowly.
The slicing of Tsunamix is good for southmk1 but not for the two others. Southmk2 had a problem, the camera was not at the good place and president Shinra was walking in the air ! I spent a lot of time changing the orientation of the bridge and I think it's good. Now I have to slice and test in game.
I didn't work on nrthmk for the moment. be continued...

Your method is good when you work on original pictures, not on remodelised screens. Sometimes there are gaps between what the graphic designer manages to do and the original picture. Some elements are not exactly in the same position. It's why you must slice by yourself when you have stuffes like chairs or ramps (all what the characters pass behind). It's also why it takes me some hours to have a good slicing...
You also can't take the original layer when you have a diagonal line, because you'll have a big aliasing effect. The original picture have less details, so all the diagonals will have a staircase effect, but on the high definition image, the line will be straight.
Layering is not an easy part of the job...Whoever wants to do it will have to be very precise and will have to cut back almost everything without following the original layout.
I hope my explanations are clear, I'm french and it's not easy to find the good words !

It doesn't matter if you don't have the layers anymore, I saied to Faulked I'll make the layering, so I planned to do it anyway  ;D

« on: 2018-11-04 15:40:03 »
Nice work Tsunamix, but I saw there are some defaults of transparency with the layers. For exemple, the ramp on nrthmk is not perforated and we do not see Cloud pass behind. the cutting is a very meticulous operation, it is often necessary to readjust the clipping compared to the new images, which are much more precise. If you want, you can send me the PNG files of your layers and I'll try to improve the slicing.  ;)

You made big progress, these screens are magnificent !

When they are finished, will you do the cutting to integrate in game ? Or do you want me to do it ?

Team Avalanche / Re: Jusete´s field scenes
« on: 2018-10-16 12:49:28 »
it's incredible !

I love all the details you add, like weapons, materias and the "wanted" posters XD

I'm going on holiday Friday for 10 days, I'll do the layering when I'm back.

PoisonJohnny => Yes, you just have to copy and paste in the fields folder
The pack 2 will be released in a long time, but already new screens have been modeled

DLPB => The doors and the lighting effects are managed by the layers. Their animations are the same as in the original backgrounds. If you look at the video I linked in the first post, you'll see some doors / cupboards / chests effects.

I don't know how 7th heaven works, but if you have a mod folder with a "field" folder, you just have to copy and replace the backgrounds files.

Unfortunately, as Team Avalanche has left the project, we cannot modify their pictures. But for me, they are great like this.

Jusete, there are some blank areas in the zz8 map.

If you don't want to resolve this problem by yourself, you can send me your png files and I'll look at this.

Here is the list of the screens present in the pack number 1. In order to facilitate the loading of the page, the images are in lower resolution. To view high resolution images, simply click on the map's name.

Team Avalanche / Remastered backgrounds : final packs
« on: 2018-10-07 15:00:10 »
Hello !

Since the remastered screens are published on several topics and it is not always easy to find them, I propose a pack containing the first 50 screens made, by Team Avalanche, JMP, Jusete, me and other.

Many screens in this pack have been updated (correction of light and color, additions of elements, layering error ...), I advise you therefore to replace all the files which you would have already installed.

You can download it with this link :

Of course, you can continue to follow the individual releases, which will be in the pack 2 !

Finally, here is a small video presenting the screens of the pack 1. Thank you for supporting me by liking, sharing and subscribing.
