Oh? Well, Bosola told me otherwise...

Request: Make an option to update the animations from PSX to PC (and vice-versa) with the correct ones, since some (if not many) animations don't have the same ID between PSX and PC. I think it would be handy, same as with Proud Clod.

In short, the key items shown in the menu are only there for display, and not actually saved at that same place. A field variable is set instead.

4
My guess for the HI is that there is some math problem and that it's the exact opposite (I'm missing 1 of 10 items instead of have 1 of 10). Not sure though.

5
There is a good chance.

6
HI counter: First time checking it, said 2 of 10. Second time (after having picked at least one other item, maybe two) said 1 of 10. No more information right now. Oh and I'm using the one in Tifa's Package (didn't bother to check, I assumed it was the latest version).

Mega Lixir glitch: Pick it. Leave screen. Re-enter. Pick it again. Repeat. I can leave down, up, fight as many battles as I want, save, reload, it will still be there.

I installed Nightmare with Bootleg and installed nothing else.

7
No, you will be able if you chose that option in the Menu Overhaul. Both aren't compatible.

Yes, install the game and then run Bootleg. Running Bootleg without the game installed will not work.

I have already posted this in the Bootleg thread, but it can easily become buried away under all the posts. Is anyone willing to help?

I am not dead! Sorry guys, I'm still here.

We are currently seeking helpers who would answer people's questions. We are currently three and cannot be everywhere at any time. I was also considering registering an IRC channel for the sole purpose of Bootleg. The current IRC channel serves this purpose well but it is also a general chat channel frequently. Most (to not say all) people there do not even know what Bootleg is or how to help, and people usually mistakenly think so (I don't blame them for that, it's my fault for putting general and specific chat in a same place). If there are enough people interested, I will consider it. If not, it will stay as it is right now.

What we want:

- Someone fluent in at least one programming language to code an IRC bot to help users;
- People willing to help, both here and on IRC;
- People fluent in at least two languages, including English;
- People fluent in VB.NET and/or Batch to debug Bootleg pre-release;
- People able to use the various modding tools (even if only a few);
- Anything else, feel free to apply!

We would prefer people who are nice and treat others nicely most of the time.

If you are interested in any of the above, you might reply, send a PM to me and PitBrat (make sure to send to both) or join the IRC channel, also irc.esper.net #Vgr

If you are interested in having another channel designed for Bootleg, you may reply, send a PM or join the IRC channel (see above). If enough people want it, I will take necessary steps.

Weird, huh?

In fact, you need to always install Bootleg on a fresh install of FFVII, or stuff like this will happen.

Edit: Ok, so I decided to try this mod for the first time. Error in the first screen, in the menu, it says "Plattform"

Edit2: While I'm at it, the "Hidden Items" function at the save point is somehow broken. Earlier it said I had 2 of 10 items. I was like "what? I took at least 5-6 of them. guess it only counts rare items" but then just now it said I had 1 of 10 items, and I had picked at least another thing, maybe two. (Edit: At first reactor) There's also the Mega Lixir glitch, but I recall this has been pointed out already.

Sorry if this has been already reported.

It should be able to be installed without Bootleg, but it would need an installer of its own. Check the first post to see what you need and try to install that.

@Sahloknir74: Bootleg will work on the re-release.

I know many people with mental disorders as well. It's not always easy. I always try to help them out, but it's not always easy. I considered studying in that, but I still don't think I have the patience. Electricity is more my thing 8)

Heh, no prob. As Hellbringer says, we might be hackers, modders, reverse-engineers, players and any other ers, we are still humans, and we all have our problems, but we must get over them. Because we are better than that.

Check if the file you are editing is the one that is in the memcard folder, and the one you're copying.

I've been through that a few times. It never was as much bad as seven years, but still. I lasted 2 years and a half with my first girlfriend. However we both found out it couldn't work after some time. We could only see each other once or twice a year, too. And then time passed. I got other girlfriends, none worked well for many reasons. Then I met her. She was really pretty and I fell in love. We were 8 months together. Then she left me "because I couldn't control my anger." At the time, I worked on myself to try to get her back, but after some time, I told myself "f*ck it, I'm gonna work on myself for me and not for her." I had cried, though. I told myself I didn't want any girlfriend before a long time. Well, guess what? Life told me I would have a girlfriend. Well, my long-time friend did. I really liked her but didn't want to ruin our friendship. I guess this short failure of a relationship sort of did, sadly. I'm just doomed to be forever alone. But, this isn't over. I met this girl over IRC some time ago, and I really liked her. We got along, but one day, after some thinking, I thought we couldn't be together, that we were too different and all that sh*t. It made her really sad. I mistakenly thought she didn't love me back all along. Well, I was wrong, obviously. So many reasons and yet, I guess one was more important. I was being a total idiot, but I liked another girl since some time. It made me really happy that she loved me, too. I am still single, as I do not want to ruin everything if it doesn't work. I told myself, if it works for two-three months, then I'll consider it. This was yesterday.

TL;DR - sh*t happens. Get over it, you're better than that. It's hard, but you can.

That was Vgr's daily slice of life ;D

Have a good day everyone ;D

I was joking, I know Nobuo didn't steal anything.

Speaking of FF songs, I got a CD for Christmas, Game Music, by a well-known violonist and a group of other musicians. One of the songs mixes many Final Fantasy songs (namely the Prelude, FF7's Main Theme, the Place I'll return to someday, FF8's Chocobo Theme, One-Winged Angel, Aerith's Theme and a few others). Gotta start a new topic for that.

in Bootleg.bat

I am wondering how you got a hand on the Bootleg.bat process. While there is a way to get it, very few people know about it (PitBrat, EQ2Alyza, brynjar and myself) although if you find it, you deserve my respect ;)

I personally don't know what might be causing the issue, but can you install it solely without Bootleg?

21
We are probably not talking about the same Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth by Bosola. If you are, someone stole it and claimed it as their work, and if not, we cannot help you, you would need to ask the author.

Please do post the link.

Yes. It sounds like it. Blame Nobuo :o :roll:

Rebirth was made for the PSX and there is no PC release yet.

If you cannot change anything, then you are doing something wrong. Also a save does not simply "corrupt" itself.
