Quite possible....  although in that case it happens with original engine.

Is there any other way/place to download this other than Torrent as it's blocked in my current location.

Okay, thank you for the reply, it's only temporary while i'm working away it's just the traffic is blocked on the network I have access to and public spots are super slow, I just thought I would replay FF8 in the evenings only to find out the music/sound was garbage on the Steam version. Thanks for making this as well can't wait to try it.

Try changing your DPI settings by right clicking the .exe and selecting properties.

I'm resurrecting my Final Fantasy related video downloads, so here is a web mirror at https://kalak.dhs.org/ for as long as work lets me do this (which has been so for years, so it will be a while). I've had a permanent seed for years, so I may as well mirror it too. Enjoy!

Hmm, I didn't know it was getting low, I will keep my seed up as long as I can then, love this OST and thanks to everyone who worked on it..

Hey guys,

I'm getting an annoying issue with this. After installing Lunatic Pandora (which works absolutely fine, no problems) and then attempting to install this (W07) mod, no music at all will play in my game.

I tried to troubleshoot this by myself, looking at guides online posted in the steam forums and the like - changing some config INI's etc. Nothing seemed to fix the issue.

In a fit of desperation, and because I needed a bit of spring cleaning, I completely reformatted my operating system. I figured it would definitely work on a completely clean install, but no such luck.

Edit: Just to mention, I install W&R with default settings as I would like to use the default PS1 soundtrack.

At this point I'm a bit stuck with what to do.

To replicate:

1. Install FF8 via steam in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VIII
2. Launch game without mods
3. Install the Lunatic Pandora mod in to above directory
4. Launch game to confirm mods are working.
5. Install Roses and Wine W07 in to same directory
6. Launch game, have no music playing.

My save location is in Balamb Garden, at the first point in the entire game I can save, before the first Ifrit fight.

Any insight in to how I can fix this would be very much appreciated, I'm not sure what else to do!

Thanks.

Try running the game without using ff8_ultra_launcher and see if that helps?  The game will still load all mods except for the injected dll's (hard, magic, publish, etc.) and the UV injector (you can move the uv injector to RaW/GLOBAL/Hext/ to still use it this way). Are you using gedo or reshade or any other packages? Just LP and RaW?  Have you tried updating the dx9c drivers for windows 10?  If you go to the MCINDUS Steam Guide, there's a direct link in the troubleshooting section to the proper dx9c runtime drivers you need to make sure everything runs smoothly. Let me know if any of this helped!

I hope this is ok with DLPB, I have uploaded this MOD to my Google Drive account as a mirror, if not I be happy to take them down.

Nice find.  ;D

My worry is they'll fern up the music aspect of it - like clipping noises on track start.  But we'll see.  Hopefully, my OST can be transferred across if theirs is strawberries quality too.

Might be worth a remaster compatible mod. As not all the new ogg files are the same quality as yours.

IMHO there's no need for RaW on the Remaster, other than for the rearrangments. The purpose of the mod is to convert MIDI to PS1 music, not "PS1 bad" to "PS1 good". Also fix several bugs like music that wasn't working at all with MIDI. But i think the remaining music bugs were fixed in the Remaster...

099-joriku2.ogg sounds like they recorded a midi file. Unsure if this one is used in game.
Though I guess the rest sound fine.

Did you know? "The Extreme" has the same problem from years ago in the Remastered edition LOL. Same for "Ride On", it always plays from the beginning, like the MIDI -_-"

Also "Movin'" seems to have a bad loop (credits to Callisto for finding it), it's played during the Lunar Base sequence. Was it fixed in the old versions of RaW? This is in both the 2013 and the Remastered editions, so i think it could be fixed for the former (unless i missed the fix)

This thread is for telling me what bugs exist with RaW... not asking which are fixed or speculating. Please provide examples of issues that actually exist and are verified to exist when using RaW - or take the discussion to another thread.  Thanks :)

I'm actually confused reading this as to whether bugs are being reported.

The Extreme was fixed with RaW, correct?

I'm not sure about Movin', could you please check?

It was - but this is not a thread to ask about bugs - it's to report them.

Movin works last I looked - so you need to

1. Explain how there is a bug
2. Show me where
3. Tell me how the PSX version did it.

Saying "Movin is a bug" isn't reporting a bug.

I thought you were posting in the "FFVIII Remastered thread" as well? It's here: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=18974.msg267784#msg267784

Also, i never said "Movin' is a bug", i cleary wrote that it has a bad loop on both PC versions, just a couple of days ago, and i was wondering if it was fixed by this mod for the old Steam version. ::)

This thread is for RaW only.  It's for Steam and old 2000ish only.

This is why the title is Re: [FF8PC-2000/Steam] Roses and Wine (W07)

I am not touching the Remastered version.

This thread is for reporting bugs you can prove that exist with RaW. Not asking me if a bug is fixed.
