[WIP] Remus's Sephiroth Model

Hi guys.
I made a model of sephiroth based on the hi-res battle and fmv. In my spare time I decided to model something and here I have modelled the head so far and about to add his hair  :-D

Just me or does he remind you of Vegeta since the head shape is very similar.
As for the eye texture, I'm using the original texture from the hi res battle model.

Lips too thin and chin too pointy

807 poly's and 657 verts  :)

I hope that's overall body poly count. If that's just his head it might be too much.

not bad, in addition to NFITC1's post lips of the original wider,  and i was about  to show some results of my work as well, it's remix of his original hi poly model, and some ideas over new sephy patch, but anyway looking forward for complete model

That face, while well-modelled, is incredibly inhuman. It looks more like a Grey alien than Sephiroth.

good stuff, could do for some optimization, (could probably get the count down to nearly half that). check out the TA board, we could use more modellers.

Woah, that looks nice, but again, he kinda looks like a grey alien, and i feel his expression isn't "evil" enough. Other then that its pretty cool so far.

Just a suggestion for a suitable expression - if you still want to model it off an ingame FMV, try showing some of the self-assured arrogance present in the video just before the scripted battle. Otherwise, the model's coming along great.

o.o... thats a lot of hair uvs.... not quite sure how you have it set up, but each bang (2 big spike groups) could be one uv island, and the big ball of of head could be another. I checked out yer youtube vid of this, with the wireframe, and you could do a ton of optimization (example, there are 3 layers of polies in his forhead, it could be 1.

his face looks weird at that angle in yellow border a bit.

but he has that menacing look on his face. that's definitely a sign of a work going in a good direction.

Your models really good man good job. :) The only thing that makes me think its not Sephiroth is the cheeks. I'm not sure but maybe with a lighter texture it will be ok. Hmm

( I think mine looks similar ;D except my version, his brows are lifted up higher and his smirking a little and nose a little wider oh and i need to fix his lips)


I'll be making 2 models, one with hi polycount and another one optimised just like the game itself, the final battle yay his higher poly. But then again thats optional, when I do realease it you can just use both of them with the hi poly one.

PS I'm sorry but this model may take awhile, as I'm pretty busy with my daily life and everything, but I'll finish it eventually! so just give me time :]
