Nintendo has pulled the release of Dead or Alive: Dimensions in the Scandinavian countries thanks to fears that it may fall foul of Swedish CP laws. A Swedish gamer, noticing that a feature allowing the player to ogle girls under the age of eighteen in bikinis might fall foul of Swedish CP laws that outlaw the depiction of under-18s (in Sweden, the Age of Consent is fifteen) in any situation that a jury decides might be sexual, reported the game to the police. In the ensuing chaos, Nintendo told Sweden and even it neighbours, Norway and Denmark, to GTFO. The worrying thing is that the game really could be considered dangerous CP in Sweden and many other Western countries according to their CP laws.

The Swedish do have a very good education and culture when it comes to sex though it has to be said.  very mature and I applaud them for that.  This Nintendo thing is just an exaggeration and over response though (from sweden), but I wish Britain was more like Sweden with regards to attitudes to sex and the respect they generally have.

Picking and choosing 1 or 2 dodgy aspects of law in order to attack the overall picture is easy to do, Bosola, but I have been to both countries and I know which law and culture is working better at the moment, and that is Sweden.

In Britain we have a massive problem with teen pregnancies, absent fathers and girls who have no respect for their own body, as well as men who couldnt care less.

Sweden is a small country that has largely stayed neutral in international affairs. As such, there are bound to be many people to sing its praises and few to look for its flaws.

If Sweden were more high-profile and ruffled more feathers, people would be more critical when looking at Swedish society and we'd see that it has many, many problems. Bosola has already mentioned the ridiculous rape laws that make Sweden a 70s man-hate feminist's dream. And the country with twice as many rapes as any other country in Europe.

You, Seifer, seem concerned with the rise of political Islam in Europe. You may be interested to hear that the situation in some parts of Sweden is so bad that many Jews are fleeing the country, and the government is too concerned with political correctness to address the problem.

Anyway, I think the important thing to learn is that misogyny and antisemitism is absolutely fine when you can claim it's part of your 'marginalized' culture, even on flimsy grounds. Standards like logic and rationality don't apply if you feel they somehow clash with your 'background' values. You can blame Muslims all you want, but it's your own politicians who are making it possible for illegal immigrants to flood Europe and drive wages down.  Don't get me wrong; I know exactly what the Koran says about non-Muslims and how Islam must be spread - just look at how mainstream Muslims treat breakaway sects like the Ahmadiyya, who don't hold to the whole Jihad thing and who confirm evolution.

Then you must surely accept that the problem of Islamic extremism in Sweden is a result of the failure of the Swedish government and the suicidal political correctness of the country's mass culture? I can't think of any country that has done more to bend over backwards to accept people who are obviously taking advantage of them. Even the UK pales into comparison.

And even if it is Islamic extremists committing the crimes, the government can be blamed for covering them up and for blaming Jews for antisemitism (a position that many in the western world hold, but it usually not governments; even politicians aren't that stupid).

I already have accepted that but again that is nothing to do with this topic...  but yes, all of Europe is in a quagmire because of PC, lefty liberalism (thats gone way too far) and often a self-hating deluded philosophy. 

Some are breaking free of it thanks to the likes of Geert Wilders, but much more needs doing.  It is plainly against logic to welcome, encourage, lie about, and bend over backwards to a religious ideology that would ultimately see an end to your democracy and has created issues all over the world in the past and today, and is plainly responsible for mass death.  It is clear that it is not a peaceful religion and that in countries with large populations of followers, there is very often war, civil war, poor living conditions, and serious social problems.

Sorry added to my other post also. And yes you are right of course, they are trying every trick in the book to silence the truth, but in the end, you can't silence it.

Ivory Coast is 1 example of what happens when you ignore a problem for long enough, and so is Germany pre WW2.  Eventually it comes to a point where there is a serious and undeniable problem that needs to be confronted.

By that time, unfortunately, serious casualties are inevitable.  WW2 had more than 50 million deaths because of a policy of appeasement and self delusion.  People do not learn from history.

Not all Muslims are going to obey all of the Koran, nor will they be as devout as a suicide bomber.  It is obviously very stupid to try and suggest that all Muslims are as bad as their evil little religion.  There is a massive distinction.  The unfortunate thing is, as Dawkins mentioned, you do not need a majority or even a very large number of followers to believe the majority of Koran for there to be mass death and severe problems.

Even a small percentage is significant if they believe it is good to blow you up (Jihad), not to take christians, jews and unbelievers as friends (Koran verse) and if they believe you are to be conquered.  You have to understand just 1 thing:

Koran/teachings = Cause
Some Muslims = Effect.

proof of this is seen in Iran, Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Turkey (to an extent), Ivory Coast, Pakistan, Afghanistan and 100 other places.

So it is either a massive coincidence that these places are the way they are, or Mr. Islam has something to do with it.
