Final fantasy vii technical demo
« on: 2012-02-22 12:54:26 »
I was wondering if I can find the official "Final fantasy vii technical demo" with the "Cloud jumping off train" scene in original quality that released in E3. I need it to remake my opening.avi from start to achieve the highest quality possible. I have only found some shaggy or camera qualities on youtube with bad sound. Thanks for any help!

*UPDATE* I found a descent quality here http://www.fantasyanime.com/finalfantasy/ff7ps3techdemo.htm

Video is 640x480, please notify me if you find any higher quality.

Those 1280x960 versions look upscaled. That quality is nothing that couldn't be achieved with a few clicks in any video editor.

   Tech Demo 1280x720 Original FPS.mp4

After browsing all night i was about to set up a new Topic for pmf and oma file. I bumped into millions of info about this subject to end up with some facts about copyright infringement. So I have got all tools needed to directly convert a pmf file to any format but only if the file is mine!!! All crisis core videos cannot be converted directly not even with burning a disk with sonicstage! It does not allow you to do it! That's all! If anyone comes up with a hack please let me know.

P.S.: It was so frustrating coming up with an .oma audio file and not be able to convert it directly. Oh and I can convert pmf to avi or mpg by using mp4toavi program but with no sound ;) tricky wicked Sony...

You are correct, they are just upscaled versions of the existing video (all of which are from a CAM source, this can be detected by artifacts on the video at certain points),
The reason i know this is because i am the one who did it, i posted those video's ages ago at
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=8414.msg108829#msg108829
I edited them using RadTools to extract the video to picture format then using Photoshop and processing each frame automatically with filters to upscale and then manually editing over 500 frames to try and increase quality slightly (i botched a few frames though so that's how i know its mine)

I'm currently using Adobe premier cs 5.5 and does not accept .oma files. Audio is not present in the original .pmf. Does sony vegas accept it? I wonder if maybe cause it's "sony".

Haha! No audio since it was ripped from .mpf. I have to state that is not completely impossible to rip the audio. "at3decoder only works on 1.5 kernel" so you just need an old psp with old firmware http://forums.qj.net/psp-themes-mods-media/136222-guide-playing-back-pmfs-pc-audio-video.html. But still I'm not sure about sony's crisis core files

Indeed very nice video quality!

*I can't import it in adobe premier... program crashes when I import it :( :(. Same thing has happened with other videos too :( I want to use the sound of this video which is really nice.

*Ok I used Xilisoft encoder and it worked

*God sound is giving me such a hard time!!! the only archive where is not crippled is the last one but needs some filters... such an easy work becomes a torture when source files are not original...grrr
