No i really was asking everyone how they felt about trees. Since trees do make o2 the sea makes more O2 then trees. Wanted to see if people fell in to that one. See trees to me are more then O2 makers i looked deeper in to it then that like we would have more room but then we got the down side.

...so you came to a SquareEnix (mostly Square) modding forum expecting a serious debate on trees....... Stranger things have happened I suppose. The first thing I thought of when I saw this topic was those trees in Mario Galaxy 2's Shiverburn galaxy. Those things is creepy. Makes me want to know if they originally had another purpose.

Solution to deforestation:
Genetically modified trees which have spider silk proteins in them instead of whatever proteins they're currently made of.  Pretty hard to cut down a tree when it can't be cut and instead it rips into shred that clog and dull your chainsaw.

How do I feel about trees...trees are good? 

Not cutting down forests means not destroying the habitats for the animals that live in the forest, so I say keep the trees.

Aside from lumber, most of the things that trees are used to make can be made from hemp.  Trees take decades to grow, hemp takes one growing season.  I'm not some crazy naturist, although I do value nature, or some crazy neo-hippie, but practically speaking, we don't need trees to produce many things that we currently use trees to make.

Not when you're, say, the gov't of Honduras, and you're paid millions of dollars to let foreign corporations do whatever the f*ck they want in your country.

Speaking of which, there's no f*cking way those Maras gangs are responsible for that much murder and mayhem.  Ditto on the amount of drugs and supposedly produce and ship to the USA and Europe.  The Maras gangs are hordes of semi-literate rednecks and street kids, and they spend far too much time shooting each other for them to have time to process dope.  They have no resources to ship dope either.  Only a moron would believe such a thing.

On the other hand, the gov't of Honduras is the only actor with the manpower and resources to produce and move that much dope.  Especially the military, police, intelligence services, and diplomatic services.

yep, and to use cannabis to make paper, rather than cutting down forests. it would be a win-win.
