Yep. I can confirm this. 1.55 has never crashed for me but i have all save blocks filled. I pulled my saves out and the game did indeed crash at startup.

Hello my name is Paul, I'm new to Qhimm. I also had the same problem with the new version(Starting fresh with one save file so far). Reverted back to 1.54 until its sorted out. Thanks for the info.

PS Thank y'all so much! Played this game when I was 9 years old for the first time, I'm 28 now. Everyone's work here is extraordinary, keep it up . I know there has been many countless hours of work to get the final product we see today, and I'm very grateful that I get to experience this game like never before. Especially the W.I.P. Echo S project... BLOWS MY MIND. (The official Remake won't be the same game, I'm not that excited about it besides being able to rip some of the resources from it when it comes out)

-Support tags in XML to specify load order rules, to say a mod should come before/after other mods


1) Audio preview files:

Add a attribute 'PreviewAudio' to your Option tags, e.g.

Hi guys, I am installing textures via this tool, but I think I am going to have an issue in having these work as well as my custom music in ff7music, as I assume I will need to launch the game from the tool for the textures, but then the music wont work, if I launch the game from ff7music I will get the music but not the textures.  So I guess the question is, is there a ff7music to 7thheaven migration path for playlists?

Also how do I find info on each individual mod in the catalogue? the url's all point to the same master 7thheaven thread.

Tool doesnt even seem to work I have downloaded, installed, activated various mods but none having effect in game, I see the live mod folders have no live files placed in them, paths are set correct in settings.  I think I miss the days of manual modding :) things were simpler.

Music goes in vstream folder. I have remastered metal songs I made in mine. Whats cool is if you revert the game back to the steam version, the songs still work.4

Can't get FF7 audio working through 7th Heaven. I have tried multiple installs and things. Would anyone mind hopping in Discord or something to help me out? I mostly want to check out the rest of the mods, but I also can't seem to use the keyboard once I'm at the new game/continue screen. I have to have the audio though. If I install Reunion, everything works perfectly. Guessing I just have some incompatibility somewhere or something.

Sounds like you might not be using the right executable. There is a few different ones that are only compatible with certain mods. Make sure your using the right one and its written in the options.

As far as I know EQ2Alyza has a release candidate of a newer version, but waits as everyone one here, for the next version of the Reunion. Depending on the mod manager which comes with the Reunion 7H needs adjustments. However, I would also like to take a look on both managers and see how compatible they are.

Well, since iros dropped it and it is now (or for a while) open source, I could go on with the project I have started in the past for recreating the UI and implement additional functions or merge existing stuff like the game converter.

Hi, I have a problem launching the game, I searched the topic but couldn't find an answer. (windows 10 x64).
I have everything double-checked, but when I launch the game the following error message appears (windows error message, not 7th Heaven's error message):

I tried deleting the 7th Heaven files and starting the process from the beginning.
I tried patching the game again with the converter (overwrite).

Nothing works and I can't understand what the problem is... :-/

Edit: if I launch the game directly from the folder, ff7_bc.exe, the error message is "postprocessing initialization failed, check APP.LOG for more information" and the game starts without any mod.

I decided to force my NVIDIA to run the game. Then, the error in the 7th Heaven it's the same, but if I run the game directly from the folder, it starts normally but no mods are running.

If you are using 1.55 then you have to have 10 save files for it to run. Its a known bug that should be fixed in the next, its also not an issue in 1.54.
So your options are either
1. Go to your ff7/save folder and create files called save00.ff7 all the way through save09.ff7. The easiest way to do this would be play and save from the steam version and save in the 10 overall slots. then copy and paste them from your documents folder into your ff7/save folder.
2. Reinstall 7H and when it ask you to update select no so that you install 1.54

no, I use the 1.54 version and refuse to update to the 1.55, as the tutorial says:
(Latest working version: 1.54
v1.55 will crash if you have any open save blocks. Either create a save in every block, or revert back to v1.54 to fix the issue).

ps1: I did the whole procedure, after a week that I have played the game. I have about 5 saves in slot 1. Is that a problem?
ps2: I did EXACTLY the same to my girlfriend's laptop, copyong ff7 files and doing the whole  Converter+7th Heaven procedure from the beginning and it seems that everything works great. It's my laptop's fault. Both running win10 x64.

(I am searching about these errors, same say to install VisualStudio and NuGet Package Manager and then upgrade the EasyHook <--- I don't know what it is and I start downloading it but can't find out what to do next...)

Just same days ago I saw that there is this mods for ff7 and I am soooo excited and really appreciate this work, it's the reason I installed ff7 to my laptop!... I can't believe it is so hard to fix this error... :-/

update: something really wired, I unisntall and install an do the whole procedure many times but:
when I launch the game directly from the folder, sometimes it loads the dialogue mod, sometimes it loads the menu mod too, sometimes it does not run. And I really don't change something between these tries!
