This is a labor of love.  However, Jusete really could use a hand with the rendering farm costs on the from-scratch models being created here.

Not unless you're a code wizard.  The current version of the driver isn't exactly abandoned, but it's not being worked on, either (it used 2013 build tools).  There is a crew working on bringing the code into a modern tool-chain and updating the embedded libraries (e.g. ffmpeg), but there are still a couple of kinks (like actually getting it to work) to sort out before any thought can be given to new features.
