basically the low quality\original textures for tripod come up for all the second disc , and for part of the fourth disc , that happen even with the latest version of this mod and for tonberry ehanched

Hey McMindus. I got your Lunatic Pandora installer (which just makes installing these main mods SO much easier). The installer includes this Triple Triad mod, and I was disappointed to find that there were still some issues with the left 2/3rds of the card mat looking new, and the right 1/3rd using the original graphics. From what I can tell the Tripod_hm.csv in /tonberry/hashmap still doesn't include the hashmaps that FatedCircle found here:

Okay, that's good. Here are the codes. They seem to fix my issues. I didn't go to many places, but maybe others can test it on their own and see if it helps.

Whew... That's good! I was afraid I might've posted codes that could potentially mess up your mod. I'm still learning, but I'm glad I was able to help.

These codes did indeed fix the problem for that. But if they cause problems or something, let me know. :D

Edit #2: Yeah... Found more. Maybe you're right about the hashes changing depending on the disc that you're on.

Edit #3: I found all the codes I could. It shouldn't revert back for the most part. If I had to wager one place it might, it'd be space. I don't have a save file for that point to check. But if things do revert, it'd be nice to know where and at what point in the game. I also found one point where the card text/numbers reverted in Esthar. I didn't hash it because I didn't know which one was the correct one.

I put those in the Tripod_hm.csv and I think that resolved my issue. I just wanted to let you know in case you're still around to update this.

P.S. The thread title says this is v1.1, but your first post says this has been updated to v1.2, but the download is for v1.1. So that's confusing.  ;D

Going to be doing a huge test/overhaul with this mod -- for version 1.3!  Version 1.2 is simply 1.1 with the 1.2 hashmap fix, but as it seems to be confusing, and certain cards vanish during certain disks, I feel I need to do some bug-testing and come out with a 'better' version of this mod for all languages.

If you're doing a bug test, one bug that I've noticed is that the earth element doesn't always show up correctly. Instead, it loads the lower resolution version. Also, as previously reported, the lines on the game board wobble.

Hey McIndus, I'm happy to hear that you're still working on an update for this mod! I also ran into the known-issue of the Triple Triad game background and card numbers reverting to original low-res textures.

For me: It was working the entire time I was in Balamb Garden in my new game (first 2 hours of playing Disc 1 via Steam+Lunatic Pandora mod). I went to nearly all areas of the Garden, and battled enemies in the Training area.

The mod seemed to fail when I left Balamb Garden, battled some enemies in the grass, forest, and beach outside of it. I didn't notice until I challenged the Queen of Cards in Balamb that the background texture and card number values had downgraded in quality.

In an effort to fix it I have tried restarting the game and launcher several times, then just restarted my computer and nothing has changed.

However, I just tested an older save-game file from the time I was still in Balamb Garden and it still works! Still shows all of the updated textures in Triple Triad. Only my current save-game after the battles is broken.

When I immediately leave Balamb Garden with a good save-game and run to Balamb city and challenge the Queen of Cards my game then loses the high-res Triple Triad background/card numbers all over again.

I think this fits in line with your suspicions that certain places lose the textures (or "hashmaps"?) depending upon in-game location. Hope this helps with your update!  :)

Hey, new here. Pretty much made an account just to ask this question.

Really appreciate the work and time spent in making the mods. I grabbed FFVIII on steam mostly so I could play Triple Triad. I saw that an updated mod has been made for the textures which is great because currently it looks like slices of potato.
However I'm having difficulty (and I've noticed a few others with the same issue) actually downloading the zip of Tripod. The hash is on googdrive but perhaps I'm missing something. Some end-user mod downloading tactic. So far for the past couple of hours I've tried to magically get around a site infested with ads and I'm not even sure a file exists on the other side of it. I tried on multiple browsers, white-listing, taking off all anti-ad extensions as well. No dice.

So then I did some deep searching of the internet to see if this mod existed anywhere else (except on all the peoples computers above this reply of course). Alas, it did not.

So kindly and graciously, I'm requesting that if anyone has a zipped up version of Tripod (preferably ENG) that would be able to email it, dropbox or google-drive link it. I would love that.

Really would rather not like to load up PS/AI to start doing this myself, when it seems to have been perfectly done anyway.

hi guys, Im currently building a mod built on top of this. it would be cool if it will be merged. im wiling to work on my spare time :)

basic gist is i just really wanted the GF's portrait artwork to be used in the cards instead of their 3d models then i realized that most of the portraits never really got passed in the sketching stage of the game so i resorted to inking some of them and some i had to rely on their 3d models and or their concept art.

building this i also come up with the problem with the face portaits of the character artworks. no wonder in the game version they literally had to use the face only of the characters

Features and Differences for Tripod
- Card face borders are now replaced with simple gradient borders
- Border detailing is a re-imagined design more specifically for character cards
- Character Cards are scaled down to feature more of their portrait artwork. shaping was applied as background to work around the limitations of the original artworks
- Guardian Forces are all replaced by RE-INKED portrait or concept or line artworks or 3d models of the game.
- Colors of portraits are ntsc safe colors, in this way you can take advantage of reshade in apply HDR or other effects on it without looking over-saturated  or too bright
- New  card Mat and game screen  heavily inspired by the original
- retains text, elemental symbols and all bugs that that tripod has

this is not a replacement for tripod but rather an experiment of an idea so feel free to try it.

next step:  email me: mcindusmods @ gmail -- and i'll send you directions on how to get the files in /tonberry/debug/nomatch (Basically it's 1. rename folders [remove the "0"], 2. enable debug mode in tonberry/prefs.txt, 3. play card games, 4. send me the files that show up in /nomatch that are the missing textures)

I have the same problem with the Spanish version, did you manage to fix it? If so, I would appreciate it if you provided me with the hashmap
 I am interested in the creation of hashmap files, is there a tutorial in the forum on how to create them?
