Final Fantasy VII PlayStation MIDI
« on: 2018-11-10 04:11:40 »
Where can I get the MIDI from the PlayStation version?  Google has been saturated with MIDI files from the PC version and all I can find are PC versions that have been mislabeled.

While the PS version was sequenced, there are no MIDI files in the game. This site has a PSF RIP, but I was unable to convert it using vgmtrans. You can certainly give it a try; you may have better luck than I did.

You can convert using winamp psf plugin (HE) by that twat Corlett, who invented the format.  And then use the disk write Wav plugin of Winamp for output.

I think the point was getting the sequenced note data, not a streamed wav rip.
