Well, I know M4v3R Has at least 3 other useful editors:Emerald, Sapphire and Omega. Here you go:

M4v3R:
FF7 Mass dialouge editor:
Sapphire v.1.0.3

LGP extractor/compressor (unpack/repack LGP archives):
Emerald

converts TEX files from FF7 and FF8 files to BMP and vice versa so you can edit graphics in game:
Omega

Snailrush PSX editor:
7mimic

Thanks for the contributions, I've just uploaded them, plus L.Spiro's MemHack tool.
I'm intending to add later the other patches, like FF7w, and *perhaps* the soundfonts.
I added too a small info regarding files and total size.

You can add my new program for scene.bin files editing if you want :).

Scene Edit - Changing monster info and statistics

Oh, and please change a name from Scene Reader to Scene Explorer because this is true name of that program :).

I was looking for the Hi-res Cloud model in battle Dreakon made and I noticed it wasn't here.  The link can be found there : http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=2904&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=28

BTW: It should technically be high-poly cloud, not high res.  Resolution is screensize =P *just bein nit-picky*

also, theres no mention of the hand patch.  Granted, it'll be obsolete when the field-battle conversion is out, but mweh..

http://www.ff7-universe.com/Downloads/handPatchV016.rar  (prolly hosted  in a few other places, but this is the one i know off the top of my head)

Edit: if you look around my downloads page, you may find one or two other things not listed here

Excuse me, but if you use multiple patches, will it increase the likelihood that Final Fantasy VII will crash at any given time? Or cause any other unfortunate side-effects? I'm sorry if this has been answered, but I figured this was as good as any topic to ask this and I didn't want to add an unnecessary topic to the boards. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, all these patches are excellent!! I'd like to try them all, but knowing the risks would be nice, too.

I think it would be prudent to place info either in this thread or link to an existing thread that indicates what patch level you have to be at to apply the FF7 chocobo race patch, and perhaps other patches (and mention it has to be the full version, not pirated).

Compiled version of Garden should be here too, it is requested quite frequently.

There's a compiled version on my website at http://www.ficedula.co.uk/f2k3/ under "FF8 Programs". Pretty old, but I'm guessing it's not changed at all.

You can add Scenester if you wish -- it's a bit more powerful than Scene Edit.

Read the name at the bottom of the page.

Scratch that, the owner linked to it in this topic.

The Borde's software Kimera should be added to the list. Its small editor for 3D .p models of FF7.
Downloadable here: http://perso.wanadoo.es/eusebio2k/Kimera05c.rar  More info here: http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=4194

ERm, don't mean to be annoying, but is there any chance you could make an FF8 list aswell? Seeing as i only registered today, i've no idea what all the programs are etc, and it'd be handy to know :) thanks.

griever: welcome to the boards.
I think that there were not too many ff8 programs so far. From what I remember Qhimm made a few (you can find them on his homepage, http://www.qhimm.com), then Fice made some too: http://ficedula.cjb.net/ and I have made an archive unpacker and unfinished model viewer for ff8, http://mirex.mypage.sk

Don't remember any other.

Not related to Final Fantasy® VIII but needed for the sake of accuracy.

My site moved a few times but should finally come to rest here:
http://www.memoryhacking.com

Again, this is a general hacking tool that works on all games/processes.
Allows searching, debugging, disassembling, and editing of process RAM.

My recent updates also allow opening files in the new Hex Editor, which should be helpful for people on this site (lot of file work done here).

Still under constuction but should be useful.

not really related to ff7/ff8 but it still fits the topic

http://www.yaz0r.net/

this dude made model rippers/viewers for kingdom hearts 1,2, final fantasy x and x-2 and some other stuff. looks like a nice job.

About Scene Edit, it seems the link is to version 1.2.2 which has the bug of edited monsters drop and steal items becoming basic items like potions.
From what I understand here http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=4359&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=scene+edit&start=30
a 1.2.4 was made which I (think) fixed that? Any chance of the link being updated since the ones in that topic seem to be dead?

for future reference here is the original thread where my Advent Avatars Patch was born:
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=5485.0

Description:
Replaces character portraits/avatars with advent children style images.

If you want to add that to the first post in this thread or something...
