Ok, I waited like you said and it did start to respond again, but the file I tried to turn into LGP didn't do anything. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you must renam world_us and menu_us to world_gm and menu_gm (original ones) while installing reunion.
dont forget to re-rename them after installing process!

hi i need help. the patch works but only in towns and during battle. it doesnt work on the world map, i only get the blocky version of cloud. i dont know why this is. can someone please help? ( i have the english version) thanks in advance :isee:

I think you should all go download the NPC reconstruction project instead of reunion's .. 'cause reunion's patch is no longer developed the NPC reconstruction has more models and since my edit it do not need the reunion's patch so why bother trying to make it work ... just download it from here

Well The Problem Is When I'm starting A New Game Or Loading One It's complaining about the file "BVJF.yos". I know it's against the the rules and so but i really need the file! it's working in the world map because when i changed back and i walket out on the world map it's was the high-res cloud!

I beg I have sitten three days now with both both reunion AND NCP_project (or whats i is called).

Add [email protected] on MSN and send it.
Or Send An Email With The File To [email protected].

Hey are there any other good updates for the PC FF7 besides the Reunion patch?

Like for example, has anyone tried using the high res patch WITH the Reunion patch to see what would happen?

And also, is there a sound/music patch to maybe make it higher quality???

Sorry I am new to this forum and trying to learn as much as I can in light of the fact that I just got my discs in the mail today.

Does the same as Reunion patch, just more model's, about 60 more
Can't use the them both
Reunion patch Work's with the Hi-res patch, so does the NPC RP

sorry for bumping up this old thread but the reunion patch DOES work with ultima edition of ff7. took alot of mucking around tho. i wonder if the NPC RP works with it...

I followed this thing to the letter but for some reason it says can't load akfe.aki lol I'm like WTF are you talking about? so can't load then I went back to the old char .lgp which means I'm still stuck in the "block age" I worked it once but now I can't work it anymore I even tried re installing and following it but to no avail...

any help or suggestions?

Alright...got a problem.

It took me a while to figure out how to do this exactly right, before finding the tutorial of course. Though, now that I have, I still have a teensy problem.

I've installed/uninstalled both the reunion patch, and bordes NPC reconstruction patch and got the same result. A re-skinned cloud on the world map...but old blocky klunky cloud(and everyone else) in every other area(town, cave, etc..). The only thing that has changed is cloud on the world map.

So, my question is this- have you heard of this before, do you know what the problem is? If not, do you think I may have a eff'ed up char.lgp to begin with? Thats what im leaning for, but I hope I dont have to go through lots of hassle to get the original bac so im asking here first. Any ideas?

i've got changed cloud and others on world map and chocobo races but everything else still block I gonna try the highwind thing and see if it works maybe it's better

I know this topic is rather dead but my problem applies to it.

I'm able to follow the tutorial perfectly until I reach the step where the directory is being checked. While it's checking I get an error message saying "This program cannot update the installed version of Final Fantasy VII PC because of the following reason:

C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\data\menu\menu_us.lpg unknown version."

Thing is, it should be known. I have a legit copy, so it's not like it's reading it wrong.

Do I have to reinstall and do all my other patches over again? Really not looking forward to that kind of work...

The Reunion patch is the father of FF7 field model replacements... but I'm afraid it has been dead for some time now. The new patch is the
Final Fantasy VII Phoenix Rejuvenation Project.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!!!! Seriously everything was smooth until i tried to rewrite the char.lgp at the very end but it wouldn't let me do it... i have no idea what you did differently than what i originally did but hay. it works
