Suggestion: A "Help it's crashed!" forum
« on: 2006-02-20 17:17:18 »
Something I think everyone here has noticed is the impressively large number of "help my game won't run/ has crashed/ sharks ate my sister!" threads that get thrown in any old forum people feel like. Not only is this untidy, it also obscures all the real dev work that people spend time and effort on.

So why not create a new forum specifically for these 'support' requests? It'll leave the proper dev forums free of crash spam, plus having all those crash threads together in one place is a better idea than leaving them scattered all over multiple forums. Of course, it's also a tad easier to search, for those 2% or so of internet denizens who actually bother to use that feature.

It's unlikely you'll ever get rid of the crash spam, so it might as well be organised crash spam :)

Do you really think you're the first one who had this idea?  :D

We (the mod crew) have already thought about this, and this will be done in the new forums. As for now, we have to live with this mess...

Perhaps Qhimm and the other Moderators do have other things to do as well?  I don't know why it's not there yet either, but I trust it will come and untill then I'm not going to speculate about when or how or who etc.
Besides, maybe it is hard because of reasons unknown to you and me?

I bet its because of the difference in computers that people have.
Or maybe its just that no one searches anymore....
