Are you guys re-writing the script as well?

I'm just saying, the actors are gonna have one hell of a time trying not to make the dialogue sound laughable when read out loud. Especially Cloud. Especially Cloud.

...Shut up. The cycle of nature and your stupid plan don't mean a thing.
Aerith is gone. Aerith will no longer talk, no longer laugh, cry...... or get
angry...... What about us...... what are WE supposed to do? What about my pain?
My fingers are tingling. My mouth is dry. My eyes are burning!

The reason why the dialogue was written like that was to try and convey what the characters were feeling without using voice or facial animation. So when you can have some sort of acting behind it (even if it's just voice)... half the dialogue becomes redundant, since what's being said can (and should) be conveyed in subtext. This is the reason why the PS2 FF's have shorter scripts than the PS1 FF's.

Parts of the script that sound awkward are being re-written, but not by much. Surprisingly, monologues that sound completely wrong while spoken can sound so much better by changing one or two words!
