now, what about sephiroth's sword? anybody tried cutting concrete with it? :>

At least we can cut tall grasses, if two people can handle it together(such swords are sometimes held by two or more people to use in real world)..... ::)

The world map is actually a replacement for the 'board' style gameplay from Dissidia, apparently. You can explore it all 'n' everything. Also, the map itself is actually a modified version of FFI's world map, which is interesting.

Hmm.. 'So this is the world of.........'
Now I'm hearing someone blames..........

I heard Japanese voice actor of Vaan was changed....... I'm sure fangirls(if any) would scream: "Not Takeda?  Why!?"

Hurry for this (^) guy for staying on topic! :D

I'm not a guy.  :P

For me, it shows some postings done by me, on communities where I'm a member with this user name.  But of course, not all of the results are about me(even the result at first page).

Will there be Vaan?  ;D

Well, Sir Awesome, you have certainly lived up to your name.   Thanks for this.

IIRC there are two world map themes.. TA and TB.   TB plays once meteor is summoned, or maybe even earlier.

I think TB is for certain event scene, like 'in the Lifestream'.  Actually, TB is later part of TA.  And, I'm sure 'Bombing Mission' part is used for some scenes, though I can't recall where(haven't played it for years...).

35
how do you open the .cfg file, I can't open it.

You can use any text editor, even notepad to open it.

36
I thought i'd post this in completely unrelated, since I have no idea where else i can put it now :P

anway, watch this video:

and now this one:

Its rather interesting how much stuff has been changed since they released FFVII the first time.

I don't read japanese but I don't see what's dofferent about these ?

Read the description.  Some test/debug battles are different between original Japanese version and later versions(look at the awesome battle background).  Also there's once rumored Test 0, which can be encountered at certain place without using cheat codes(I mean, cheat devices) in original version.

37
The long-time rumored Test 0.  Hehe......

**I think you can post it on 'General', since it's related to FF7.

Scripting and Reverse Engineering / Re: ergheiz models
« on: 2010-03-16 06:06:52 »
What is this Ergheiz game?

It's a 3D fighting game made by NAMCO (IIRC) for the psx that featured characters from FFVII such as Cloud, Zach, Sephiroth, Vincent, Tifa, and Yuffie. The characters had some pretty cool attacks like Meteorain, cross slash, omnislash, and alternate costumes too, like Shinra outfit Cloud and Final Battle Sephiroth. Vincent could also shoot his gun. You should look it up on Youtube.

Er.... NAMCO didn't make it IIRC, although the arcade version uses NAMCO's system.

**Ripping the models are not allowed to be discussed, but if anyone makes similar models from scratch, that would be OK.

Picked 'pseudo-randomly', for I needed some unique username, not a username with 'Insert your favortie character name'.  I often use masculine or neuter usernames, despite of being female, and it's no exception.

Not to sound like a downer, but do you really even need the synthesizer?   I mean unless you want those midi quality files on your pc...I don't think you can make them sound much better.

Sounds better(Define what is 'MIDI quality').  Though S-YXG100 does not work under Windows 2k/XP/Vista/7....  S-YXG50 4.x works under Windows 2k/XP, but not Vista/7.  (I once read about making Roland Virtual Sound Canvas work under Windows Vista/7 somewhere, but also I heard S-YXG50 wasn't working under Vista/7 at all..)

Troubleshooting / Re: FF7 PC to FF7 EPSXE Save
« on: 2009-12-03 08:24:46 »
You will have to convert PC save to PS save via save tool like MemcardRex.

Maybe you'd just navigate to your CD Drive and play the 'ending' videos in \movies\ ? I don't believe you'd miss anything.
Right.  But need to get right player for that.(and I can't think of one right now.......)

hey guys, if you be so kind, can someone help me how to use aalis custom driver? im using vistax32. coz when i use this, my config seems to use software rendering. it cant load my custom avatars, my graphics turns a little squishier..

can someone help me?

First, configure sound via configurator.  Then, apply modified registry(to register the custom driver), and change some settings in .ini.

i really wish we had an alternative to FF7music, it's truly a hackjob of a program.  I reckon it causes many more problems that it yields enjoyment.  I spent my time with it, then dumped it for the Timidity++ soundfont emulator.  The midis sound VERY good with the PSX soundfont, the only difference i notice is there is no singing during the final battle.  I'm surprised more people don't go this route, since it is a piece of cake to setup.  Maybe i'll do a write up on it.

To each his own though....

Lee

Video tutorial I made....... But I prefer to use my own rendered music files instead of MIDI.

46
About music file paths, I recommend you to edit .ini file manually, because FF7Music sometimes screws it when you enter multiple file paths, then save configuration.

Wallmart has infect the UK too, the ASDA store chain is owned by Wallmart.

Heh..... In South Korea, Wallmart and Carrefour were never so successful.  The only 'successful' one is Tesco Home Plus, but I doubt it could 'operate' if it wasn't Samsung.

Anyway, good memories.... There was indeed some good sites there......

Is there some way of getting that white chocobo in the game?

Normally, no.  With cheat code, yes, but you may see this.
