The very end of Crisis Core seemed to suggest they'd remake FFVII - either that or they're all just a big tease!

Nope. They're just unavailable.
The source code is available for anyone to complete.

Oh the file exists - you just need to make sure you register it:

Code: [Select]
Regsvr32 /s TranImg6.ocx
... does the trick.

Oh yeah - that sucks. I've not played FFVII since I upgraded to 3.90 M33-2. Just tried it now and whenever I enter combat it crashes.

Edit - Nevermind, load the game with the R held down and use popsloader to force 3.71... works a treat :) thanks.

Heh - If you've got the PAL version of FFVII you might want to think about "acquiring" the NTSC eboot images from elsewhere as you have to muck around with vertical/horizontal positioning and it's all a bit of a hassle really.

Aye - it looks real good on the smaller screen. I also like what they've done to FF1 for the PSP.

As for the NPC re-construction, I dunno - I haven't really read these forums for a long time now... has the NPC re-construction project started covering the Playstation version of the game? Assuming the playstation version has a similar char.lgp file I'm sure it's not too difficult to modify it and get it into the PSP eboot.

What's so amazing about FF7 on the PSP? I've had it on my PSP for aaaaages.

There is a DOS emulator which allows you to play really really old PC games - but getting FFVII PC onto your PSP just isn't going to happen.
You'd probably need the source code.

Like you said - it's possible to play PS1 games on the PSP. So why not just play the PS1 version on your PSP?
I've got it on my PSP - it works well.

I think you're on a looser if you want the PC version on your PSP though.

Flippin' heck - that's insane. I wonder how long it took to animate.

The cans are FFVII "Potions"!

To celebrate ten years of Final Fantasy VII and stir longings for a FFVII remake, Square Enix held a Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Gallery in Tokyo. The exhibition is on display until September 2nd in the Spiral Garden and features original art and illustrations for Final Fantasy VII and its spin-offs. Sony Computer Entertainment honcho Kaz Hirai was also in appearance and wrote an English note on the message board (above), which reads:

"Congratulations on 10 fantastic years! The best is yet to come"

If by "best," he means more spin-offs, then no thanks. But if he means "best" by a big ol' FFVII remake, then I just might agree. Though, he could be talking about FFXIII or just in general. Who knows? Kaz does!

Spent the evening watching all the entries with the girlfriend - we're both agreed that the most random entry this year is the Ukrainian entry. Sweeden has an unusual entry this year too. Like the Finnish song again this year - girlfriend seems to be rooting for the Greek - bit poncey I thought though... I miss the days of S.A.G.A.P.O!

Oh the best day of the year.... it's not far off now!

Scandals already:

All previews are up at: http://www.eurovision.tv/addons/mediaplayer/

... not got through them all yet. I like the Bosnian Entry (again). The British act is pathetic (again).

So start planning your Eurovision parties (Jari - are you actually going???!).

Everyone: Pick a country (you can't pick it if it's already taken by someone) - if that country wins you don't get a prize - but you can brag about being the winner ;-)

I choose Belarus.

I've seen a guest reading their PM's before....

*Edit* - Also where's the "hide" option for the users online list??

All very well and good - but there's still no decent secured link back to the UK which makes it hard for us scientists to get any usefull data back to the labs to support current ops. Skynet *will* be good though - as long as it doesn't become self aware and start screwing around with all the battlefield target identification systems in "friendly" tanks! Hehehe!

Preston's gone down hill ever since Tokyo Joe's became Lave Ignite ;)

Radio 1 is having "their big weekend" in Preston this year aren't they? That'll be good fun - I hear The Killers and Kasabian will be there - Might try and get myself back up North for that.

45
Oh well most people refer to London as "the city" so I thought u meant you watched lots of live bands in London.

46
Where's the best place for Live music in London then James?

Troubleshooting / Re: So, uh, Vista?
« on: 2007-02-22 17:33:56 »
I've got it working nicely on Vista (all be it a little quick!):

> Installed the game
> Installed the 1.02 patch
> Installed the upside down movie patch (forced administrator in win 98 compatibility mode)
> Truemotion disabled in FFDshow

If someone's got a save game around the Chocobo Races I could investigate what happens...

I got a card, know who it's from though.
