If you could get ahold of SomeLoserGirl, she should be able to help you, since that's exactly what she's been trying to do recently.

I might be stating the obvious, but here goes anyway....

The monster data looks like its in the files "enemy012.dat" and "enemy331.dat".

If it's not in any obvious places (meaning files with names like the ones above) then it's most likely compressed somewhere on the CD, if you did not do a full install.  I did only the standard install, and I noticed the CD is being accessed during the time inbetween the swirl effect and when the ATB starts up.  Could be a clue.....

goku: i think is basically a given that its compressed in a file, most likely an LGP. the LGPs stay on the CD in a standard install.  had posted about the dat files in this very thread a few days ago.

"enemy012.dat" and "enemy331.dat" are left over files from the PSX conversion. They were the enemy Graphic files and contained no enemy statisical data.

Does anyone even know where the monster names are stored at. I just have really been wanting to know where they are located and stuff for a really long time...

Thanks,
~Sky
