I've done a mod for chobobo from french version (used a chocobo art for head).
Feel free to mod it for english version (only a few file need to be done but most only need to be renamed i think)

Ok, in fact the colors are bv_00.png, bv_01.png, bv_02.png.... but there seems to be lots of color so in my test the numbers i tested wasn't used ^^'.
Just need to spot with number is used for witch color...

I use ulgp to extract files from lgp.
Then i convert the .tex files with tim.
The only file with chocobo heads in it is bv_00.png and as green colors.
Then i use inkscape to convert the heads in vectors, then upscale.

Hello.
i'm on the way to update chocobo game texture.
but i cant get the chocobo colors works in game, they're all green (as the extracted png):


i've trie to remane other colors as bv_01.png or bv_02.png with no luck, is it some limitation or is theyre a specific mane for each chocobo color ?

the game use the high rez texture and i have no clipping when i use the png files in gimp.

By the way if i use no condor mod and use the official condor.lgp file i have the bug, so could it be aali driver related ?

I've generated all once again to avoid missing pixel and i'm playing the whole game again to spot bug.

Hello.
I'm working to upscale most of the game textures.
I'm doing the "in battle" texture right now.
I found and get working the "magic" files and the "battle scenes", the only part i can't get works is the 3 "seffect" file and the "rain7" file (originaly there are single .tex files in the "ff7\data\battle" folder)
Theses files seems to be used when you make a simple "attack" command on the enemy.

I anyone know where to put them ?

so far i tried:

Hello.
I just registered to write in this topic. The last pic that says you used N1 filtered waifu 4x + some gimp filter looks really good. I'am just wondering will all backgrounds get that treatment? And if so how long will it take before this is done? Also, is it possible to see some more pictures from that filtering? It looks really good can't wait to play it like that with reshade and maybe a high resolution, if that would do any good. Good luck!

I could try but the fact is a pseudo-neural resize system need the exact same picture HQ and LQ to learn how to re-create the missing blocs (as the texture from avalanche are 100% new i don't think it'll works).
I've read a lot about this because it's like the 'hooly graal" of all resize and is discuted in specialised video forum for about 15 years ^^.
I can't do it right now because the beta pack as lots of small missing pixels due to unacurate crops and some special cases need to be fixed (like the chorace fields) so i need to fix the pack before doing extra resize and filtering (if you can found the fields you had to fix (and the spécial cases witch are not in omzy's script) with your script so i can check mine ^^)

I've not because to train the model you need HD and LD files from the same exact model and there is not realy HD version of official FF7 backgrounds

seriously one good mirror is worth a thousand strawberries ones.  But seriously man I am really sorry I haven't been able to help much on this I have been way too busy lately.
No problems, as the pack is in beta stage, if you can list the field with special cases sa i can test them to be sure they're not bugguy ^^
I'll do the upload one a more common mirror for the beta2, but as i saif the dl.free.fr mirror is 100% free, no inscription, no intrusive adds., and most of the mirror i've posted can be used with the free "jdownloader" program so you don't even have to open le link in browser to donwload ^^

I've used waifu to upscale the game background x4
I used the waifu cpu version with no extra filtrering so some scene (inside shina building for exemple) will not be as good looking as other ones (i'll regenerate a complete pack with extra filtrering once the bugs will be found ^^).
I think the pack will have bug on some screen because i've automatised 100% of the works (so if we want to re-done the pack with extra filtrering it will be done easily)
The beta is here to test the pack and found bugs, missing filtering ....

I've found in omzy javascript some spécial fields traitment andhave added them to my soft (for some of them it was already good) so i you have some special fied cases witch are not in omzy's facepalmer

I found a way to do a correct edge cut with imagemagick, it's about the same result than with omzy (not 100% perfect, it's impossible to automate when screen have barriers or small part) but it's correcting some omzy edge cut bug too (the "warning" plaque in the 3° game screen have a back dot with omzi for exemple).
I think the main engine of my software is ready now so I'm runing a complete field pack generation (will take some time) so i can test it and check lots of special case.
So you have a list of buggy field witch need some manual traitment so i can test and correct them if needed.

But i'll try to transpose it if i can't do it with my method.
