Sweet thank you! I was thinking they would be. I've been looking through the .pak's, but earlier today I grabbed a hex editor and started poking at the exe itself.

I'll get these ripped, thanks :)

I should go into just a tad bit of detail;

I'm writing a forum integrated Triple Triad clone for a bit of fun. It's annoying trying to find the raw Triple Triad card graphics though because the only things online are the menu cards.

EDIT: Got it. Works great now sort of, thanks :P

There's actually apparently not even enough palettes for the cards. About 50 or so cards are fine, but the remainder are left with no palette data. I've mapped out which cards get what palette out of the 56 palettes though:

I've come to the conclusion that each palette should be split into two though. I'll have to play around with this. I would appreciate any help I can get in splitting those CLUT palettes down to half size for a total of 112 palettes with 128 values each instead of 56 with 256 values. I've been studying the format, but I'm not getting much luck in changing the amount of individual palettes.

2nd Edit: All done:

Thanks for the help :D

I've been trying to hunt down the textures used during triple triad's match sequences (not the ones used in the card menu found in Menu/mcXX.TEX). I was wondering if anyone knew off hand which data pack it's in, and which file in that pack stores that texture data.

The ones I need are the same ones used in Triple Triad Gold. Much appreciated if anyone knows :)

Troubleshooting / Re: Regarding TTG

I dont really much care for Extreme; I've played a few variations on Triple Triad, and a lot of them try to overstep the original game :P I'm not too interested in new cards; just want the very basic game lol

As for yours; I'll download it and try it a little later

Troubleshooting / Regarding TTG
« on: 2008-04-03 12:40:51 »
Hmm... I dont know how much this has been asked, or if its been asked before :p
but... I see that the project's been inactive for a while (at least according to the site); are there any plans on releasing the source if it has become abandonware?

:P all of the clone's sites have long since died, which is rather disappointing lol

Anywho, didn't think it'd hurt to ask

I'll wait until I have a tad more responses in this thread before I decide to make an automated patcher for the ff7music patch (or rather an app that runs through the process step by step), but I may start the gui just for the hell of it :P

7
I've played through the game waaaaay more than you......which makes me kinda sad....ahem
anyways
any suggestions on getting the damm thing to work? :-)

XD I dont know if I'd say that :P I did have FFVII before the PC version came out XD... O.o in fact I remember buying it the day it came out at walmart XD and playing it... non stop... over and over again XD

8
Yeah I think I've only ever gotten it to work once, and I've installed and played through FFVII PC about 6 times now XD

9
Hmm I havent been here in a long ass time, but I've noticed something...

Every time I've installed FFVII for PC, and wanted to use my PSF files, FF7music is horribly complicated, and even the tutorials are lacking (Theres got to be a step missing, I'm getting issues up the ass with ff7music.exe)... One thing I've noticed with the patching process is that it could all be automated; simple as clicking a button and having it finish... <_< I would write a simple VB app that modifies the files necessary (and I probably will once I install VS.net again), but before I even bother; is there already an automated patcher?

Meh if I take on the task I think I may make a library system with known soundtrack filenames (like zophar.net's psf rips, etc) and their associated links in the ini that the user can load when patching, but yeah... the whole process seems like it takes 100x longer then it logically should <_<... Automation ftw

Anyway, just thought I'd ask :P

I havent had any problems with FFVII and I have SP2 for XP O_O

Did you fiddle with your FFVII graphic settings and such? or maybe you have a codec thats screwing with your video (like I did... ogm codecs mess with the cinematics and make it crash)... I'm sure its not SP2 cuz I havent had any probs with it yet

General Discussion / Simple Flash Movie I made :P
« on: 2004-11-27 17:40:49 »
heres an interesting question-
what style should I go with for the project?
Toriyama style? (Dragon Ball, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest),
Miyazaki style? (Kiki's delivery service, Princess Manonoke, ect)
or...
Amano style? (Final Fantasy 1-12 concept artist, Final Fantasy: The Series)

Most challenging would be Amano style :P and i'm not THAT great of an artist lol but *shrugs* its worth a shot

General Discussion / I need to know...
« on: 2004-11-23 13:55:50 »
well, i'm pretty positive its out in japan now (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/shop/), which means its US release is in about a month or 2 (says square)... So, I reckon it should be in england around the same time as it gets to the US.

Also, if that doesnt work out, just order it from Lik-Sang.com ^_^ I talked to em last night, and they decided to get a shipment of it

nah not yet...

I'm working on some CG stuff for the title and such. However, I may not make it a "FFVII" flash, but perhaps an original story based around crystals and espers and such :p

depends...

I really like the music in the Final Fantasy Vocal Collections, so I may use some of that stuff too... make it kinda like a simple anime cereal series ^_^

General Discussion / About Nabuo Uematsu leaving square-
« on: 2004-11-22 17:39:18 »
I've gathered a little bit more information on his leaving. Its nothing against square-enix, or anything like that. He's only leaving so that he may work on games for other companies as well ^_^

Apon his leaving, he's opening up his own composition company that will do specialty services for various game companies who hire him.

So, basically, Mr.Uematsu may still do Final Fantasy games in the future, but rather then being part of square, he'd be part of his own company. ^_^

I think thats awesome personally, because I love Uematsu's compositions, and I would love to hear em in other companies games as well as square-enix's ^_^

yea I was thinking about doing that... That or just replacing the snowboarding game with a file that will tell the game just to move me to another section in the game (just a simple teleporter), if thats possible.

But yea, i'll switch graphics modes for a tic-

Yea, that worked ^_^ thanks

19
lol I'm just wondering if anyone's copy of FFVIIPC crashes at the snowboarding minigame, and if so, how did you fix it? O_O

I know theres a whole deal with chocobo racing, but I didnt have any trouble with that... actually, I havent had any trouble until I reached the snowboarding minigame...

Anyways, i'm mainly wondering if this is a widerange problem, or if its just me having these troubles...

thx in advance

Troubleshooting / FF7 Problems
« on: 2004-11-22 01:46:44 »
I had this same problem, except its VERY easilly remedied...

Okay, Sephiroths attack pattern is like this -

Attack
-------
Heal if Cloud is dead
-------

Okay, now. This tells you that you MUST kill him with cloud.

Go into Jenova, give young cloud Master Magic and such. Then kill the dragon like that. Its tedius yes (because cloud dies a lot), but just have some patience :p

Is it just me or is there a trend with all the newbies lately?

not all :P
but then again, I also helped run ZFGC for like... a year XD (and that forum got to be about 3000 users in size... but lowered down to about 800 after moving :P... but it got lame, so I quit XD)... and I can relate to how annoying it is when n00bs and newbies come in and post without reading the rules first...
