Title: Break 9999 crash
Post by: Ace on 2016-01-08 03:44:34
Can't confirm if this is a conflict with another mod... yet.

Enabling Break 9999 causes the game to crash.

Tested and reproduced with the initial battle.

No Gameplay mods enabled.
Menu overhaul being used: without beacause, removed hand indicator, and no battle boxes.
Jessie Mod not being used.
Sephiroth Story mod not being used.
Faster Enemy Deaths: 1
Always Run: 1
Clock Fix: 1
Increase Sense Limit: 1
Save/PHS Anywhere: 1
Skip Cutscenes: 1

Everything related to textures in use (not likely to be related anyway).

Which .exe are you using?

ff7_bc.exe for the menu overhaul (and beacause in due course).

I suspect I may be having this issue too, also crashing in the initial battles with FF7_bc. Using all the current mods except for Dynamic Weapons, Jessie Mod and Sephiroth Story mod. Here is my crash dump for what it's worth. sendspace.com{slash}file{slash}w9ywa4

Note I am using the break 9999 from the Reunion mod.

Also using ff7_bc.exe and no crash with break 9999.
Also installed a bunch of other mods (difficulty, tweaks, animations, dynamic weapons, textures, models).

The Reunion mod from where? The Catalog or the standalone installer?

The Catalogue. The standalone is R04 and the Catalogue R03. That being said I didn't see a way to use the stand alone with 7th Heaven (I assume they won't work together) so I didn't use it.

No, that's right. You don't want to use the standalone installer. Only run Reunion mods from the Catalog if you play the game with 7H. Hmm, I'm a bit stumped. Those are so few options enabled, most of which I always play and test run with enabled (I don't tick Always Run).

I created a new profile to test - I get the same issue when I only activate the reunion mod, enabling beacause and break 9999

I get the same error playing hardcore+reunion with ff7_bc.exe and all mod except jessie and Sephirot story.
Checking break 9999 just make battle crash not just the first one. I don't get crash with ff7.exe(of course the menu bug)

Ok, I may have an idea for this. Will post an update when I'm done testing.

Here is the APP.LOG and crash dump if it helps(only Break 9999 Limit activated):

I am having the exact same crash where only the 9999 break mod is on & it is the 2.1 version of the reunion mod
