Bitrun exports the model in its current position, from there on you can work on the model. But you have to recolor it or uv map the whole model and texture it.

It's not that I haven't read it. It's more that I have no clue myself how to export the model with mesh, skeleton and animation. My hopes where with Kujata but sadly picklejarr didn't work on it anymore. Bitrun destroys all the vertex shading.

Well, a few problems come from my side. I changed the models for the soldiers, but due to my very rare time I can spare I did a very sloppy job, which leaded to some problems. Though, I think we will play some trick or treat and see if you will get some sweetie.  :evil:

6. The griffins have transparent feathers which is not as on psx. This texture issue is also true for other models like Rufus, Dyne and Proud Clod. I mostly fixed this.

I don't need to read this just one thing. Install bootleg 46 and than say 7H is terrible. I see a lot of trouble come with r06 because people think they can switch things as they want to...
Even though it says mod switching isn't an option.

4. Edea has not the correct animation I made a new one which has to be edited into the game through MR.
5. The FatPilot use an animation from Cid and has his feed wrong changing the animation causes Cid to have in one scene (maybe more) to have wrong feed positions. Either he gets a new animation or you use a condition (I use in 7H scene ID plus game moment[though I have it always active but do exclude when the Cid use the animation]). The conditional is more elegant since it works for many other mods too.
6. These horse or lion like birds. Just a fix for the texture
8. Should be darker now
9 CMDE is on the way, strange thing is that Kimera didn't have shown me it in its listing. What's GLDE I can't find it.

Those who can't donate won't own the remaster because of its price. You can get better games for this money.

While we're talking about the model overhaul though, I have to say, I'm not a fan of Cait Sith's field model. More lavender than white, and has a lot of details that don't really make sense? Cait Sith's whole thing is that he's a big motorized toy, he has the big oven mitt hands and clown shoe feet for a reason. That plus it having a nose for some reason, despite Cait Sith's Moogle never being depicted with one anywhere ever, has me voting for a different model to be used and/or made. Doesn't help that one or two of his animations have a few buggy frames in them with it. Hope I don't sound demanding it's just...all the other party members' field models are just right to my eye, so Cait sticks out like a sore thumb.

I do a few model updates for R06. ATM I have done a better model for Rufus and a much better model for Tseng is in the pipeline. When I have done Tseng, I hurry to make a classic Cait Sith version.

@ Hyperthesis Sorry for the late reply, but it's not possible without 7H.

I'm very interested but there seems to be no way to edit the mesh. I could live with the texture but the mesh is just wrong. It's a shame because the other models do look pretty well.

That's not so clear to be honest. If we would replace the models in the remaster with the one from original no one would cry for it. We currently share models of ff7 between the original and re-release. The point is that we share files between practically same games without making the files accessible to other games software. Though, it seems that the models use a different file system in the remaster, so we can't use them in a easy way.

I was just reading the Steam reviews. Most people's complaints are usually: it isn't wide screen, backgrounds are blurry, it isn't 60 FPS, and there is no real analogue movement.

Which are all things we could have now, if SE had worked with us on a open Gears engine, at the time when they made the re-release for FF7. They could have ported a lot of their psx games and we would have maintained it. But SE isn't a company that can't look far in the future. In the end they wasted more money than needed and also loose more and more of their reputation as a company, which makes high quality games.

@Divatox ATM the remastered is technically better and with mod support in the future, overall. But OpenVIII will be the definitive version which will have most of the things which people do except for a remaster.

They have so many games on steam and all of the good old or old styled games achieving mixed reviews. Sadly, the peoples, who analyze this do only came to the conclusion that it must be the gameplay, because the modern games have much better reviews. But the truth is that the games have just a bad overall quality. It seems as if they dislike their own games.

May I suggest a variety of it. I replaced this song a while back with this one https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uj_KUKzGY08. My suggestion is to give the original track also an intro maybe mixture of Sephiroth's theme and Janova's theme. I really like the heavy bells at the beginning of the song from within temptation.

Again, great work and I hope to hear more songs from you.

Is the Grandia remaster really garbage though? The filter doesn't look that bad and people who hate filtered sprites must be a minority considering developers keep adding those.

Anyway, I want that on Good Old Games. I'm hopeful since Grandia 2 is already there.

If you are used to the PSX version than it's okay, but they promised to use the good things from the Sega version which should have been result in better and a more variety of textures. There are also some fake shadows for the houses. https://youtu.be/1txHf-QU-7c

Maybe it's modable in the future.

It's not an animation bug. the script use only one cloud model. When Cloud wield his sword in his hand it's in fact another model. BTW. I changed the script for that junon scene and in the elevator it's quite strange because his sword goes through the soldiers.

I will better put may money into this (even though it's also garbage ATM) rather than supporting this pay-for-a-patch behavior. Also openVIII looks more promising than this sloppy work.
Nothing against dotemu, they only do for what they are paid for but SE is kicking their customers with shoes. This only shows how they will milk the remake with better versions of the same game. "Upgrade the graphics of your PS4 version of FF7R for only $30 to experience true UHD graphics with amazing details on your PS5!"

Well, it just means that they didn't put as much perfection into the correct facial expressions for the voices as they did for KH3, which voices couldn't be translated because of the perfect synchronization between English voice and expression. It's a shame that they don't give 100% for remake.

Seriously, it's actually a reason for me to buy it, one day, maybe.

First run toughscript (see the tools section) to dump all text files. (Maybe it's good to make a backup of them).

Then run the GC to use the Spanish game with the English exe. It's was the first purpose of the GC to transform all non-English versions of the game to use the English file system.

And at last run toughscript again to encode the dumped text back to the game.

I'm surprised there are no separate achievements for buying, installing and starting the game xD All for a colored icon on your Steam profile no one cares about.
