seen this and very interesting when it came out
-
That was interesting :P
I found the theory on the moon in mm more fun though.
-
I'm convinced

I want to believe it. I really do. But having played Twilight Princess, I simply cannot accept that Eiji Aonuma is capable of this.

Canonically, no, he isn't. It is during Link's time in Termina that Ganon is revived and the Hero of Time does not appear to save Hyrule. Therefore, Ganon prevails, leading to the flooding of Hyrule by the gods, and the creation of the great sea, a la Wind Waker.

Sorry, that's the wrong timeline. WW follows the Adult Link's timeline (Adult Link disappeard and became Child Link again. In Child's Link's timeline he never confronted Ganon.

What? That's not what this timeline (http://www.gonintendo.com/content/uploads/images/2013_3/Zelda_timeline2.jpg) says. This is the official one from Hyrule Historia, no?
-
Well, I believe this is what they originally intended at the time of Wind Waker, but after releasing so many games they had to change everything around and create an "alternate reality" so it all made sense. We all know their original plan didn't involve splitting into two hypothetical situations.
-
Side note: Majora's Mask is hung on the wall of Link's house in the new 3DS game.
-
since your talking about the timeline game trailers do a better job explaining it then what Nintendo's one page timeline in the hyrule historia states http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucAhMkWo6aY

I love the 3D animation they used as a layout for their presentation! I wish there will be a Zelda game at this level of graphics one day with a thrilling story scenario and a nice voice over as well!
This looks interesting too:

I don't know about timelines or any of that, but when I played the game (I was very young at the time, like in elementary school) I always thought that child link traveled into another world/dimension and the link in that dimension/world was dead, thus you could use the Fierce Deity (Spellcheck?) mask in the same way you could for the Zora, Goron, and Deku masks. At the time I just figured in order for you to transform, the mask had to contain the soul of dead person or something like that.
-
...and a nice voice over as well!
God, no. A voice over would just be weird. I like to imagine how the characters talk. I'm not saying give Link a stone-cold stare like Twilight Princess, but leave a little to the imagination. In Wind Waker, for example, they conveyed link's emotions perfectly with body language and facial expression, but you could still put yourself in his place and feel attached.
-
I'm with you there bro... but I was referring to a more life like realistic CG version of Zelda game well balanced enough to match a professional voice over.
-
That works.
