Is this a downloaded, bootleg version of FF7?
If so, you will have to go somewhere else for support, or you could just buy the whole game.

Audio.dat being 0 bytes means that your sound data is missing.  This has happened before when the game was a bootleg version, but it could also happen if your CDs are bad.

My suggestion is to check the installation CDs for scratches, and try reinstalling the software.

Of course, you'll need to find the install CD...

If you can provide some sort of proof that you own the game (picture of receipt, box, CDs, manual, something), we can send you the audio files I suppose.

Hahahahahhahahhahaa!

Sorry, couldn't help but laugh. It reminds me when I put up my first webpage and all the image links were linked to where they were on the hard drive. Good times..

My question is, how did you get the program to even install when the audio files are screwed up?

I don't know how it installed if the audio files are screwed up.

I'll put the file on my FTP tomorrow, and e-mail you with the details on how to get it, brainchyld.  I'd do it now, but it's about 68 MB... what a long upload... easier to burn it onto a CD and take it up to my server.

I happen to have the same problem, dont ask me how it installed. Well i have the Audio.dat and Audio.fmt files from the demo and overwritted the ones that were empty.
Oh well do i need to get a proof that i own the game?

the reason alot of people have no audio files, is because they downloaded the cracked version off of kazaa, and i have it, but i also own the actual cd's. not having any sound should be the price you pay for not buying the game.

Yes please... we dont mind helping out people who own a legitamite copy of the game. A photo of the CD's or the box should do.

Might as well tell the guy to give 10 dollars and the old disk to Eidos, and they'll send you a new one....that's what I would have done. Just go to the forum section, and look for Redleggs....and send him a Private Email.

As for finding an FF7 PC copy...only place now would be E-bay.

It would be cheaper getting a Refurbuished Playstation, a memory card and FF7 PSX....if you asked me.

Then get:
FF8
FF9
Crono Cross
Legends of Dragoon
Thread of Fate
Xeno Gears
Star Ocean 2story
And.....the list goes on.
