FF8 Strange problem

The installation goes fine but when i try to play it the producer names comes up.But after that it just go to sound producer shows black white picture  then it just come up FINAL FANTASY VIII and it ends.

I want to play this game but i duno what the problem is ....

I got the version 1.02 or what it is..

My computer
Windows XP
Geforce FX 5950 Ultra
2 ghz
1024 ddr ram

please some help..

I got orignal CDs

It's like when you start the game then the end of the game comes understand?

I assume you know that you just press 'X' or Escape or whatever to skip that and go to the main menu screen? If so and it still doesn't work then it may be some graphical problem.

It's supposed to show the credits and "slide show" when you start the game.

Please check FF8's configuration and set your controls.  Your "select" key should skip the credits (probably other keys will too).

The 'X' button skips the credits too, so be sure you know what key is actually assigned to 'X'. It should default to x on your keyboard anyway.

Strange....  hmmm I duno what to do I've tried everthing can it be something with Windows XP?

Try running the .exe in compatibility mode? Right click FF8.exe and select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Win98/ME. It seems this has worked for some people using XP and FF7, so it might work for FF8 as well :) Worth a try anyway.
