Okay here are the screens for my bootleg stuff.  If possible i'd like some major pointers on what would work best.  I've marked a certain screen shot incase anyone may have some better opinions on the textures stuff.

Iceboundphoenix, you can swap music files without any problem.

Sora123masta, if you install Bootleg in a read-only folder, it will fail, or at least some parts will.

Ah, okay.  I just made my games folder non read only but like I said it'll show the blue box where it must be checked. However the effects are active for it to be 100% deactivated.  I'm going to install my stuff now so, just wanted to be sure everything was alright. VGR,  EQ2Alyza. I appreciate all the work and help you've given me and the gaming community.

If you can't disable it, try applying it to all files and folders, then hitting OK. Then try disabling it. If I'm not wrong, a full square means it's only partly enabled.

The full square is normal behavior from what I read.  The effects of removing Read Only do take effect but the square remains. I have learned of this from a microsoft page.  So it's alright.

Okay, made a full reinstallation, and sadly it still does not do the battle swirl limiter or the new spell names.

That is odd. I don't know what might be causing it. I've ran out of ideas!

It's alright. I can deal with the prelude art. I'll  manually install the battle swirl and the new spell patch. xD   Anyway. Yeah y'all are amazing. Love ya!

This could be a dumb question and I apologize if it is, but I got this bootleg running perfectly fine on my desktop and have auto run enabled, but I am walking still unless I hold X. Is there a hot key to enable this? I would appreciate any feedback

This is default behavior from the game. You need to install the "Always Run" patch from the Menu Overhaul (I think there is a hotkey with Kranmer's master command DLL, but I forgot which).

Ya know, I have been wondering. Is it just my CPU being slow? Certain movies, like the custom ones made with Crisis Core vids for the opening SQlogo and such. Even one of the opening videos go slow. Like, they play normally but the sound comes in ten to twenty or fifty seconds later. o-o. Anyone else have that?

I am looking into the bootleg and hopefully in the future I can help with problems but I will do what I can and will keep eye on this topic.

Anyone know why Cloud learns new limit breaks straight away? Don't want that because it ruins the whole limit thing, tested both vanilla difficulty and gjoerulvs hardcore with the same results. Using EQ2Alyza config for bootleg.

Did you start a new game with the Hardcore mod installed (or similar) and then swap after making a save file? The Buster Sword in the Hardcore mod is unique in that it now has Vincent's Death Penalty effect (more kills = more damage). Thing is, to set it's initial power to what it is usually for the start of the game (40-50 damage) Gjoerulv set Cloud to have something like 1000 or so kills when starting the game, with the limit kills required adjusted to compensate. That means loading up most other mods with that save file will have Cloud instantly learn all three levels once he finishes a fight.

That's exactly what I did so that explains it. Thanks a lot for the answer Sega Chief!

Rookie question, is it possible to change anything in the bootleg and re-patch the game without uninstalling everything? Trying out some different settings to see which ones I prefer best.

Sadly that is not (yet) officially supported. You can do it, but it won't uninstall anything you previously installed, so it can cause problems.

I have problems running the bootleg on windowed mode. On fullscreen it works perfectly on every default settings and shared, but when I uncheck the fullscreen it changes my desktops resolutioin to very low and the windowed game looks very bad.

Here is a print screen of the game's title screen on my desktop.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello
I was hoping somebody could help fix a disc change message I am getting once I complete disc 1. I have read the FAQ on it and tried the solution and still no luck. I'm running windows 7 64bit, US steam ff7 desktop comp. all the mods are working just fine, but once I get to end of disc 1, it says please insert disc 2, ( I do have disc change checked in overhaul ). I originally renamed one of my drives FF7DiSC1 to begin with. I did try to rename it to FF7DISC2, but then once I load the game, it says please insert disc 1. I was wondering if I could just add two more drives to "FF7DISC2" and "FF7DISC3"
Well I would appreciate any help, thanks anyone :)

@ Arzga

Try FF7Config, section graphic, set to 640x480 fullscreen.

@ Jreeds26

look whether "load_library = multi.dll"  the last line of ff7_opengl.cfg is.
look also if "multi.dll" is in your game folder and "FF7anyCDv2.dll" in subfolder "LOADR".

First off thank you. I think I may have found the problem. My version of FF7 was installed from steam. and installed into :J/ff7install/steamapps/common/Final Fantasy VII. I ALSO have :J/games/Final Fantasy VII ( I keep FF7MODS in games folder as well ). There is no ff7_opengl.cfg file in the /ff7install/steamapps/common/Final Fantasy VII. I do however, have everything else where it should be ( multi.dll, the LOADR folder with the FF7anyCDv2.dll file, and "load_library = Multi.dll" is at the end of the file from :J/games/Final Fantasy VII/ff7_opengl.cfg

Sorry if this sounds confusing, but it appears i have two different Final Fantasy VII folders.

I apologize for repost, but after opening ff7_opengl.cfg from where I found it, I noticed it has been removed somehow, it now seems, I am completely missing that file. Weird.

I found the error. My installation folder of FF7 had a folder named ff7_opengl file   not .cfg, but was a CFG file I saw when I looked closer. I guess they are somewhat the same file? Anyways, I opened that file up and noticed the end line path had a # sign in front of it. I deleted, saved and bingo. I now realize the root folder is the installation folder, not the modded part. Thanks for your help Kompass :)
