I understand having your signature in something so people know that it's your work. I also understand others POV where maybe we're enabling/disabling mods for testing purposes and we want to get into the game quicker. Or like Fewtch said for immersion. Which brings me to ask: Could you or did you ever upscale the original Eidos opening video? Maybe you can add your SYW signature to that? In any case, myself, and many others really appreciate all your hard work and effort you put into this WONDERFUL mod. Thank you very much!

Anyone using this mod on a laptop with an iGPU? I'm curious if this would run on my iris 540. I eventually want to get a laptop with a dedicated GPU but I wonder if what I have now might work until then? Also, has there been any discussion with TehMighty and intergrading his UI mod with Moguri? I know he hasn't updated his in awhile but it's the only mod missing from a complete FFIX PC experience in my opinion.

Thank you for your hard work sir! It's because of people like you that share our love of the original game, we can go back and enjoy it in greater detail. Original FF7 with mods>Remake, and your mod will always be brought up with "which mod should I install?" If you ask me, that's pretty dope my friend and I think your pops would be proud. Thank you!

Check out this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7/mods/4. Still being worked on, but these models are amazing. These models with upscaled backgrounds are absolutely beautiful!

Edit: Forgot to mention there are two types of field models. Chibi and non Chibi. The Chibi models are the ones I was talking about. Should be second down in the file list and you can preview what's done so far there too.

I forgot to say you have to press "U" a third time to end the movement process and get back to in game control.

Just letting everyone know that TehMighty just released an update to his Scaled Battle UI mod to work with Moguri 8. I'm happy to report this update installed first time with know issues. He has also implemented a feature that let's the user move the UI in battle to a custom position to eliminate issues at different resolutions. Simply press "U" while in battle to move the right side. Press "U" again to move the left side.

I did this and it worked. I closed my game, restarted and the positions were saved. Finally this UI is fixed and we can enjoy a beautiful FFIX with the original battle UI!! Happy freaking day!

I feel you on this one. It's one of the main things stopping me from doing a proper play through. There is a battle scale UI mod out there but for the life of me I can't get it working with Moguri in any version or even the vanilla game. It's especially annoying because they patched the Ps4 version Battle UI but just left the phone crap on this version.
If we could just get the battle scale UI mod officially merged with this one, we'd have a perfect overhaul of the game here.

could always message the author and see about making it compatible. he was active as of a couple weeks ago on this.

I've also known about and had difficult times getting that mod to work. I've brought up my issues on the Steam page tutorial and the nexus comments. The author has only responded to me a couple times about a year or so ago. I've just recently posted some pics of my issues and haven't heard anything. The battle UI is truly the last and only thing keeping me from playing my favorite FF. A full playthrough that I've been wanting to do since they ported it to PC haha.

It's a shame SE is so lazy these days they couldn't change the Battle UI from the phone port. This mod is BEAUTIFUL and IX is my favorite FF in the series, yet I still can't play because of the stupid Battle UI. I just can't do it. It's hideous and I can't see shit. But I wanted to say thanks to everyone involved with this Mod. Maybe one day someone can fix that stupid Battle UI!

When adding the iro to 7th Heaven it shows up twice. Game wont launch because this mod is showing up twice in my mod list but I only moved that single iro file. If I try and delete one in the list, both get deleted.

Edit: After installing it and leaving it at the bottom of the load order it doesn't duplicate itself and works. Also, does this mod alter the pointer? Mine is still the original. Font looks really good in game, nice work.

It's kind of on an unofficial roadmap. Other things are being worked on and are the primary focus for 7th Heaven 2.1. If all goes according to plan 7H 2.1 will actually have a fixed custom driver in place anyway. Then for the following update it is planned to add FFNx as an option so that it can be tested heavily by a larger user base and issues ironed out. If it is mature enough and accepted by the community, it would become the default option.

Sweet, thanks for the reply. I have a pretty powerful system, so the DDS textures for me aren't super needed. Just a nice bonus, that I can totally wait for. Cheers.

Is the FFNX driver going to be implemented at some point? I'm interested in using a DDS pack but from what I've read you have to kind of install FFNX as workaround to the 7th Heaven driver and I just don't feel like doing that lol.

No, 16:9 just stretches the original image to full screen with that black bar always being there. ReShade is pretty simple to use. Download it, point the installer to the ff7.exe, choose opengl and install. Once the game is open press the "home" key to open the configuration menu. From there find the aspect ratio shader, enable it and start tweaking it to try and get rid of the black bar at the bottom. There are also a ton of other visual shaders you can use (like an old CRT look) to make the game look better.

hello could you tell me how to create a 7 heaven configuration for the game pad?
I wanted the 1998 Original.cfg configuration but also use the D-pad
because I keep moving my thumb there and nothing hahahahah

I believe you HAVE to use a third party program to get the d-pad to work. I use that same gamepad config in 7th Heaven I believe and I use xpadder to map the directional keys (8,2,4,6) to my d-pad. Xpadder isn't free, but not expensive. There are free alternatives I think. If you use Xpadder, make sure to open it as Administrator for it to work properly.

You might be able to do that with ReShade. ReShade has an "Aspect Ratio" shader that sets custom Aspect Ratio. I used it with FFIX to get rid of the side bars. Try it out.

They both modify the flevel. Flevel modding can't overlap. Kaldarasha and Sega Chief would need to combine their work into a single flevel to make them work together.

Is this the same for Resize and any difficulty mod? I have Resize and Reasonable Difficulty enabled and no issues so far (up to Gold Saucer first time). Or perhaps Reasonable Difficulty doesn't alter the flevel.lgp? Just curious.

IRO files go in the Mods/7th Heaven directory. So when choosing the output folder using Satsuki's builder you should choose that path. Then just refresh your mod list in 7th Heaven and it should be there. You can choose whatever path you like I guess, just make sure the IRO created gets moved to that Mods/7th Heaven directory.

@ Iliasm If you read my post the mod is no longer changing my avatars, but it's using it's own START MENU screen that overrides the one I'm using. The Avatar issue has been fixed. It's not even a huge deal, the Start screen is from the remake as well I believe and looks pretty good.

I just updated Fewtch's Remake version of ESUI and it's no longer changing the avatars. The start menu image is still changing though. Is that intentional?

In the US, butterfinger is doing a DLC giveaway.  So I just bought $10 worth of candy bars to get the 5 different DLCs :P

I did that and my receipt was denied. Last week I got two emails congratulating me on getting the DLC. I laughed, then installed the Tifa PS4 theme lol.

Couldn't they just be tweaked in an audio program to increase the volume? The Remake UI sounds are understated as you say, but they just sound like updated version of the original to me. I had some old SFX from years ago that were similar to Remake sound and I just used Audacity to "increase" the volume. I don't know how to tweak audio files but I'm sure the Remake UI sounds could be brought to the same level as the rest of the SFX in the game?

My bad about the start menu background, I had mine in there and hadnt considered that it would overwrite everyone else's. When the update for 7H is pushed, it will sort itself under your other mods

Sounds good. Thanks for the mod, it looks nice. I know someone is working on SFX, I wonder if they could incorporate the Remake menu sounds. I think those sound really nice.
