It is a shame the forum isn't as bustling as it used to be.
I had my own yell at the staff back during that specific time period too but for different reasons. Which I can happily say is fixed now.

Not that I ever directly helped with that particular thing because it either happens on USA time or Bonez has fixed it almost instantly. That being drama and people getting away with anything for the most part. I do feel that the forum is now a more equal and safer place when it comes to nobody being more special or important than others.

I did attempt as Ori mentioned to revive the place with the Speedrunning section and had the threads made as I was requested by the runners themselves. Who proceeded to not use it at all sadly. They have their Discord and they prefer to use it over this. Which I do understand. Same as the modders here do, ourselves included. Granted I could post here if there's Echo-S updates and what not  but I've pretty much chose not too just because it'd be a 2 year long thread with no download link, and because of that there wouldn't be a good conversation to have because only I and Patrons would have played it until release. When it's done though I'll absolutely be placing it here and hoping to talk about it with everyone.

I even attempted to make my own forum when I went my separate  way and it died on creation. I think maybe 2 people that wasn't admins posted on there. It is sad that forums don't seem to survive now. Unless you're like Reddit or 4chan or something.
Even since I started streaming my work people ask questions less because they wait until I go live and then ask me directly instead. Or choose to just DM me rather than posting. A little strange but each to their own I guess.

And Admins "job" here nowadays consists of logging in, checking message requests from new users with less than 5 posts to see if they're bots (They usually are). And checking new posts to see if they need removing because of dumb stuff.
It's not much, and when I do get a chance to do that it takes all of 5 mins because of how few there are.  And checking any reports from users which happens barely and when it does Bonez tends to be on it instantly.
This place as of today could be ran by a single person.

I dont have permissions or knowledge on how to clean the place up and make it look fresh to sorta start anew but if it was done I'm down to try posting more here as a regular user and see if it does anything.

I'm juggling that project and my voice acting one at the same time so it's a little slow. But I'm using the remake models for it all. Might not be everyones proffered style.

60FPS is compatible with anything that does not contain custom models or custom animations.
So it will work NT and Hardcore but a few new enemies might act weird, but not a game breaker.

Echo-S and hardcore will not work together, sorry

So, we've waited a long... long time for a particular mod to exist.
We get asked almost daily in fact. Well, today is the day!

I'm happy to announce that the BETA of the 60 FPS Mod is ready to be tested!

This mod is a full overhaul of the game that pushes field, battle and worldmap mode to 60 FPS.
Thanks to Quantumpencil for reverse engineering the FF7 code, Vertex was able to interpolate most of the battle animation effects (excluding texture paging and particle effects)

This is a BETA release with the goal to find out bugs and glitches (in case you encounter a softlock, just skip it by disabling the mod and the reactivating it)
In order to use this mod, it is necessary to have:

 - FFNx version 1.10.1.105 or higher. If you use 7th Heaven you NEED the 1998 version of FFnx, not the Steam one!
(https://github.com/julianxhokaxhiu/FFNx/releases): just drag&drop all the files of the zip in FF7 installation folder (This will reset your 7th heaven "Game Driver" settings)

 - the IRO mod containing interpolated animation files (Kudos to @Obesebear   and @Kaldarasha ). You can download it either in the 7th heaven catalog or directly here (https://motr.7thheaven.rocks/60FPS/60%20FPS%20Gameplay%20%5BBETA%5D.iro). Just make sure to re-order the mod list with the 1/9 button on the right side bar.

Before reporting any bugs, please check if the issue is already present in this post https://github.com/julianxhokaxhiu/FFNx/issues/347 and make sure the bug is only replicable in 60 FPS

In case someone has issues and can't get it working, you can revert it back by reinstalling the stable version 2.3.3 of 7th heaven https://github.com/tsunamods-codes/7th-Heaven/releases, if you have used the installer previously you can use the repair/modify option in your add/remove programs.

Finally, thanks to TrueOdin and the dev community for all the help in modding, tools, and so on.

This mod should work nicely with most model mods including ChaoS, Ninostyle and maybe Barret mod. It'll even work for the most part with New Threat (Custom models may move faster)
However, for the time being this will not work with the Ceta Project until I go through and manually redo all of my animations (Wont take long hopefully)

So with that, go ahead and Stream it! Make videos! Whatever it is you do.
But most of all, enjoy it. Thank you for your patience with this incredible mod!

Inside your settings/game driver. Go to the advanced tab and change the SFX dropdown to "Originalaudio.dat".

In order for me to do that I would literally have to redo Echo-S a 2nd time but on top of New Threat.

Update your version of 7th Heaven to the official one on the website.
It's been made specifically to contain everything Echo-S needs. Plus it's now the latest version.

Echo-S can be used with any mod as long as they dont alter FMV's or gameplay

Tsunamods Echo-S7 Full Voice Over Mod



After years of planning, restarting, re-casting, recoding, new translations, and whatever else could possibly get in our way.
Finally, we made the team we truly needed to accomplish this mammoth of a task.

Around a year ago we did our final restart for project Echo-S.
We got a real director, very professional actors, and a team of people to help make it it a reality.

Echo-S contains the following features:
  • FULL VOICE ACTING, Npc's included
  • Automatic Text
  • Day/Night System
  • Calendar System
  • Random Weather System
  • Day/Night Movies
  • New Soundtrack
  • The Reunion Translation by DLPB

Echo-S brings an entirely new feeling to FF7. What used to take 3 hours to complete now takes about 5 because you're busy enjoying every voice line,
Talking to every NPC, and just having fun., It's like playing a new game. But also not at all. It's amazing.

As of today, our first playable demo is officially released!
This demo will take you all the way through the entirety of Midgar, minimum!
There's a few secrets to find that'll treat you to a little extra content, so keep an eye out!

On this page you will also find a new version of 7th heaven that comes with a full auto installer, self contained version of FFNx and it' super easy to use.

I really hope you all enjoy this experience!

The 60fps doesn't work. Don't use it. Why it is still downloadable I'm unsure honestly. Or where people are still getting it. Over the last year I think the mods have had to tell a couple hundred people to not use it because it's messed up. Still to this day nobody has achieved correct, full 60fps in a working manner. That one from the Catalog sorta faked it in a way that causes crashes.

Not even slightly, we haven't long started. We just finished casting the Main Characters and most of the minors.
We're finishing up 7 now and the members of 7 that are done are moving to 8 ready to get it started.
