The error indicates an invalid configuration, so if you installed fresh again, I dont know what is going on, try going through all your settings in 7th heaven and see if anything sticks out as wrong e.g. a unconfigured sound device.

It is possible, but as always with UI layout changes it requires knowing the memory/executable addresses to modify, and in some cases custom code may need to be injected into the game.  On my mod ESUI, I did document the address modifications I did so you can extract the mod to find some of these addresses, I do not know all the addresses required to achieve this though so some effort is required to pull it off.  The bit I am unsure off is if the game background can be visible behind the menu, the game very likely does not keep the field rendered, when the menu is on screen, the frame rate is changed as an example when the menu is drawn.

FFNX is the new driver now distributed with 7th heaven, there is now no need to enable a direct mode anymore so you can skip that part of the process.


I am not entirely familiar with how to package a models mod, but 7h follows the same structure I think as what is inside the direct folder in the game installation location, so drag those over to the mod location.


I suggest initially importing the mod as a folder, which will make testing far easier, once you have it working, then you can package it up into an iro for distribution.

ESUI is included inside "user interface" it is an older version.


If you want to use the standalone ESUI in the MOTR catalog but also use other parts of the "user interface" mod collection, then you can just disable ESUI inside "user interface" and it should work.


You can double click the mod in the mod list on 7th heaven to access the settings.


I might post a picture later, if you are still stuck.

Can you please tell me what the problem might be, I cannot go to the site http://7thheaven.rocks directly, only using a proxy / vpn. And even in this case, if I download the manager, Qhimm mods are not available for download, again due to the manager's inability to access the server. What could be the problem?

Post compatibility fix= 8 times in a row success! and not a single Easyhook error in sight even with every mod I want on which is almost everything in the catalogue xD... log uploaded, may be a good Idea to add the possible error + fix in the FAQ.

By the way, battle boxes looses transparency after winning a battle half a second before changing the screen and Sega Chief Battle Model Swap and Mouth Texture Replacer both work but it says that the version is 1.01, when it downloads it downloads version 1.00 prompting an update which it fails to download everytime.

Battle boxes isn't a 7h bug, its an ESUI by design implementation in how to toggle the transparency in and out of battles, at a future date it may be improved, but it is this way for now.

So I really like the new UI that 7H offers with the enhanced stock UI mod, but I don't really like the changed font that it uses, would it be possible to use that UI but with the stock font, or rather a different font of my choosing?

I have a lot of modding experience in other games so I understand how mods work at a good level but I don't really know much about FFVII modding at its core, is this something id be able to do myself or would it need work from the mod creator?

There is a ESUI lite which uses the zomirayfont font, still not the stock font but much more closer, the plan is to get that into the next Qhimm catalog update.

If you want to do it yourself, unless the replacement font had the same font spacing, then you would need to do a lot of realignment of the text and numbers in the code and adjust the font spacing.

Yep!

That did it.  Did not know 7th Heaven was accessing a different FF7.exe other than the one in the main folder.

Thank you!  This was frustrating me to no end.

Workaround I would suggest is converting to memory hext patch, its basically updating the exe in memory instead of on disk.

If you hop on discord I will help you with it, and make a hext patch for you which you will be able to load as a mod in 7h for the limit break changes.

it likely needs a conversion to DDS texture format, satsuki has made a tool for it which he has a thread for on qhimm.

crashes are significantly reduced (even to the point of zero for a few of us) by using a LAA (large address aware) patched executable, I believe 7h 2.2 distributes this by default now so I suggest you upgrade 7h to 2.2.  Also use the ffnx included with it or latest canary which supports LAA, and then you have a game that has a lot more memory available for textures.

ESUI controller addon I plan to rename to vanilla gameplay controller addon (or something similar to indicate its for stock gameplay), and add an option to work on zomiplay font (as its popular), if your font spacing is similar (and icons in same place on font palletes) it should then work on your font as well.

In the video it can be seen the "update available" is showing for the mod, click it to update.

It looks like it is just the ninostyle battle models.and ninostyle hd field models.

There is 5 iro's in the pack and the other 3 iro's are ok.

iropngdds version is 1.25 64bits.

for menu stuff it can massively increase iro size but will compress back down with 7zip for distribution.

It seems on ninostyle model pack from nexusmods, this converts the preview images, I did see a log showing mipmap failures, and in the log it mentionedit though they were unused, but they are used, in the png iro they show up in configure box, on the dds iro they missing.
