The project has officially passed the 50% completion milestone. Here's your last chance to vote for which of the following scenes I will tease next on youtube: http://www.strawpoll.me/11208197
okay real simple answer to this one. When you use two http the forum has no idea where the file is so it doesn't give an error. With just one http you get the error that the file is too large. This means it is finding your image and the file size or dimension is too large. The maximum size is 150 x 150 pixels i believe and there may be a filesize issue but a compressed png or jpg should fit just fine.Ahh, 150 x 150 was the dimensions. I could have sworn I tried doing this with a way smaller image but got the same result... guess that wasn't 150 x 150 either.
I can tell you right now that that photo is too big so open it in an image editor and bring the dimensions down a bit.
I resized the image and uploaded it and set it as your avatar for you.
Too bad my sub has expired... I'm not renewing it until they fix those small fonts issue... I can't read sh*t on my big screen yo! Seriously... I have lost a major part of the story due to this issue. In FFXIII they have an enlarged fonts option. Why not in XIV too? Unless it's not part of the franchise... And yes already reported this issue and talked about it in several threads...
I love this suit... too bad it's 1st level...
I'm going to post something about the moderators making a FF8 only section... it would really help clear up some confusion and create a place where we don't have to dig 10 pages down in 5 seperate topics for the right information.
Actually, no -- that would be a huge undertaking and I think the FMV is amazing as-is. I'd really just like to upscale the opening credits, along with the Credits sequence itself. I'm already working on making this mod, but learning how to import an upscaled TIM into the game might be harder than it seems.
Actually, it was A LOT of hard work -- but no more than any other modder, really. Unfortunately, the TT game cards can't be edited yet, even though I have a master PNG with the entire set complete and ready to go -- see this post:
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=15006.0
Currently, only the in-menu cards will show up as hi-res.
I'm working on a TT mod, fixing the glitches I'm encountering with SeeD, and updating the intro sequence for the game as well (i hope it works!) If my intro mod works, the steam community could use it! If only I knew how to hack the hex to be able to resize the TEX and TIM files, the intro would definitely work, and the TT mod would be available for everyone!
Not only does it go 50% transparent, but it becomes low-res. I've been hunting around for the appropriate file to fix the issue.
Most of this thread reads like this:Quoting all this as my sig on Gamefaqs. They'll love it there.
"I hate change. Unless it's changed exactly the way I wanted it to. Then it's tolerable. But still bad."
YES, this is correct.Thanks. Now I wonder what exactly is wrong with this glitch? Everything's working well, just wonder if one or two things may not show due to it.
The last one.
It won't make a difference if it's there or not, popups can't be disabled.
Disable_popup is no longer a function in 0.8b and on.
Hum... that config file is from ff7 0.8b , there is a new driver 0.8.1b... and you just need ff8_opengl for FF8, skip extracting ff7_opengl, you have no use for that file for FF8.
Forget it... config files have the same name on top... -.- I'm dumb!
I am gonna try and find my ff8 disks to help you out, your current installation is FF8 + AaliDriver + SeeD GUI + Raw correct?
# ff7_opengl-0.8b config file
## USER OPTIONS ##
## If you just want to play the game, these are the only options you'll want to change.
# set the window size (or fullscreen resolution) of FF8
# 0 means use original resolution in window mode, your current desktop resolution will be used in fullscreen mode
# preserve_aspect adds black borders as needed to preserve a 4:3 aspect ratio
window_size_x = 0
window_size_y = 0
preserve_aspect = yes
fullscreen = yes
# mod directory
# subdirectroy of mods/ where textures will be loaded from
# does not affect the old external textures feature, those should still go in textures/
mod_path = avalanche
# check your driver settings if this option doesn't seem to work
enable_vsync = yes
# allow FF8 to use linear filtering for its textures
# some things look slightly better with this option on, but alot of textures just lose their detail
linear_filter = off
## ENHANCEMENTS ##
## All the little extras that weren't part of the original game, default options include only trivial bug fixes.
# post-processing shader, used to apply fullscreen effects
post_source = shaders/bloom2.post
enable_postprocessing = no
## ADVANCED OPTIONS ##
## Don't fiddle with these unless you know what you're doing.
# enable alpha blending for textures without an existing blending effect
fancy_transparency = on
# display frames per second counter in upper right corner
show_fps = no
# display some real-time debug information
show_stats = no
# store external textures in a compressed cache for increased performance
# compression is not lossless, some artifacts may appear when this option is in use
# texture cache does NOT update automatically if the source image changes, however, deleting anything from the cache
# will cause that file to be recreated from the source
compress_textures = yes
# max size of the texture cache to hold in RAM, in megabytes
# don't set it any higher than 1GB unless you want your game to crash
texture_cache_size = 256
# use pixel buffer objects to speed up texture loading
# might crash horribly on ATI cards but should work for NVIDIA users
use_pbo = yes
# use mipmaps (anisotropic filtering) for modpath textures
use_mipmaps = yes
## MODDER OPTIONS ##
## These options are mostly useful to modders and should not be enabled during normal play.
# show every failed attempt at loading a .png texture
show_missing_textures = no
disable_popup = on
load_library = "RaW"
