Archive / Head disappearing and more

Well, I'll go to the point. I've replaced Aerith by the ones in KH and KH2. Everything was alright 'til the moment of her death in Forgoten city. Her head disappeared (what a pain  :-P)



I dont know why but Cloud's head also disappeared when I replaced it by a smoothed head.

One more problem,




Aeith's skirt and leg are one object, Cloud's case is only one object as well

Depending on different screens, this problem was shown up. Could you guys please help me  :oops:

Archive / 'bout KH models ripped by 3D Ripper DX

I remember that this question may be answered before so I'd taken searching but I got no result. Therefore I wanna ask for your help. As you know, importing a KH model ripped by 3D Ripper DX shows an un-smooth model like this



How can I smooth it correctly (Im using 3ds max 8 )? VertexWeld and MeshSmooth dont give a good result for the head



ps: I know it doesnt matter at all if I want to port the model to FF7 but seeing how models should be could inspire me ^^

General Discussion / FF7CC Script

Do you guys know where to find the script of FF7CC US version? I do know that the original Japanese script have been translated into English by SilentTweak but I find that there are some flaws in his translation. For an example, when Aerith asked Zack for 23 "things", he translated those as "luxury" which is usually misunderstood as "expensive and valuable object". However. in the US version, those are Aerith's "tiny wishes".

I just wanna ask a question. Is writing a non-benefit guide that provides the way how to port KH's model into FF7 illegal or not? If it so, does replacing "KH's model" by "your own model" make the guide become legal?

Having a new comp, I installed FF7 immediately. However, I'm always a mishap one, right? An annoying problem appeared with no reason, as you see



it was even worse when I replaced my model



Could anyone help me  :cry:

Note: exclude Eidos official patch 1.02, it's a fresh install which no patches were used

I had replaced Tifa's field model by hers from KH2 and made a new char.lgp, but before entering the first boss's battle, ff7 crashed  :oops: not only the scene but also every one after it, ff7 was still running fine while I had only my Cloud's modding but it crashed whenever I replaced Tifa's parts, dont know why   :? I didnt find any things wrong in my work because i did it in the same way to what i have done with Cloud (of course, "Cloud" had worked), so could you check it for me http://www.mediafire.com/?2msgbgmybtt

Troubleshooting / big prob at the end of FF7

everything had been fine until the battle with Jenova-SYNTHESIS A (at the central of Northern Crater - the end of disc 3), my modified field models turned to the original NPC project's ones and after i defeated her, FF7 hung (not crashed)  :-P, I had tried again many times: with and w/o Hi-res patch, with and w/o my modified models but they came to nothing, can anyone help me  :cry:

patches i'm using:
- NPC project
- hi-res patch
- some my modified models

thanks to everyone, after receiving lots of your help, i did know what to do to replace/modify FF7's models, and the result i got wasn't too bad

but only battle models were fluent, i'm still being stuck in field models, i cant open any skeletons of field model with any versions of Kimera, it only allowed me to open separate part so i had to modify one-by-one and compare to what i saw in Biturn, in this way, what i got are ...  :cry:



texture went crazy, lgptools also replaced <15 files, no more, i've spent a month to find out the right way but it came to nothing,  and now i need your help  :oops:

Archive / How to arrange objects - questions from a noob

I've made all Cloud's pieces and converted them to .p file, then i tried replacing the orginal Cloud's model, but i dont know how to arrange the objects correctly, because i dont know how to work with kimera, can anyone help me :cry:

and one more thing, when working with PCreator, i did the same way for all pieces but why there were only some sub-objects were textured  :?

*edit: it seems i've been able to arrange the objects, but still have problems with texture
