How's about something like this: http://wiki.qhimm.com/FF7/Technical/Customising ?

That way it's on the Qhimm Wiki so we don't have to worry about leaving updates in one person's hands, especially if they disappear after a while or the links need updating (saves asking a mod to edit the post for updates). We could also then just replace the out-of-date sticky we currently have with one link that points straight into the Wiki.

Title: 9999 Limit Breaking
Post by: Bane King on 2006-11-20 01:57:50
Official support thread for 9999LB Patch. (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=5021.0)

Some screenies:
(http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/a2.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/a1.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/b2.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/b1a.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/c2.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/c1.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/d2.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/d1.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/e2.jpeg) (http://dziugo.republika.pl/images/limitbrk/e1.jpeg)

Download links:
Skerb.exe (http://dziugo.republika.pl/ff7/skerb/skerb.rar) (see readme inside)
Patch (http://dziugo.republika.pl/ff7/skerb/patches/LimitBreaking.rar) (see readme inside)

Usage (probably the easiest way):
   1) Download both files and unpack them
   2) Put patch.srb with ff7.exe and Skerb.exe
   3) Run Skerb.exe and press any key when it asks you to do so
   4) Rename ff7.exe to something like backup_ff7.exe
   5) Rename patched_ff7.exe" to ff7.exe
   6) Check if it works

If there was any error message, you've probably done something wrong. Recheck everything, see both readmies and try again. If there is still a problem, PM me or post it here.

Enjoy!

A couple things I noticed:

1. Yellow text must go, it's burning my retinas  :-P
2. Ficedula's Cosmo program is listed twice
3. You should group the programs by functionality and by author (like elentor)

Other then that good job! I'll see if I can find some of M4v3r's programs (Sapphire, Emerald and Omega Weapon)
Title: Re: Projects links and status
Post by: stormmedia on 2006-11-20 05:16:23
RPGillespie:
1. You're right the yellow isn't a good idea... I gonna change it someday.
2. fixed thanks for telling me.
3. Well what I will probably do is to group them in fonctionality and do subgroups by authors... because in my opinion.. when you're searching a program, it's not the author that is important but what it will do.  Well anyways for now I'll just gather the more program I can and I'll see later for the groups...

Bane King:
I gonna add this as soon as I have more time.

RPGillespie: I changed the Yellow text to Orange  :-P.

That's a great idea!! Then they could pay for the bandwidth overages!!  What a dumb idea to link it to the project page on Sourceforge, where you will always get the most up to date version.

Edit:

Sorry for going off topic.  A great thread stormmedia!

Bit of a silly question, that's all. :-)

Like halkun said, it actually is the same website, not to mention that that's how sourceforge(t) works - all sites that use it (have to) use the same system for downloads.

You may wish to replace that 9999 Limit Breaking patch for whole YAMP by dziugo.

topic link:
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=5124.msg66838#msg66838

Download links:
YAMP (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/yamp.html)
MiniGamesPatch (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/mgp.html)
TransparentDialogBoxesPatch (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/tdb.html)
NoDialogBoxesPatch (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/ndb.html)
9999LimitBreakingPatch (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/9999lb.html)
Gypt (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/gypt.html)
LuckyTifa (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/luckytifa.html)
LuckyCaitSith (http://dziugo.republika.pl/sub/csith.html)

or better from my compilation (because it has this latest version of MiniGamesPatch which dziugo sent me and said that it's not posted anywhere else... and it's a single archive file):
3. YAMP - Yet Another Multi-Patcher (http://fem1.uniag.sk/Miroslav.Jezik/ff7/3._YAMP_-_Yet_Another_Multi-Patcher__by_dziugo.zip)  by dziugo (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1660)
(...)
 3. - MiniGamesPatch - This program will enable a frame limiter for the Bike, Snowboarding and Rollercoaster Minigames and for battleswirl effect. It allows minigames to run at normal, manageable speeds on mid-to-high-end systems.
It ALSO helps to solve crashing issues that some people may experience with the snowboarding game.
This ALSO has integrated BattleSwirlFix which fixes an issue with FF7 crashing randomly when entering battles (mostly after Alt+Tabbing out of game and then returning)
   - TransparentDialogBoxesPatch - Will make the big blue dialog boxes transparent.
   - NoDialogBoxesPatch - Will make the dialog boxes vanish and only text appear (will overwrite the TransparentDialogBoxesPatch).
   - 9999LimitBreakingPatch - Removes the 9999 limit for HP/MP/Damage in your FF7 allowing to go above this number. See screenshot and 9999LimitBreaking.txt.
   - GyptInstant - Allows you to skip FMVs when playing FF7 by pressing a hotkey. Very useful when experiencing freezes and crashes during FMV sequences. See GyptInstant.txt.
   - LuckyTifa - Tifa will always get "Yeah!" in her limit break. (cheat)
   - LuckyCaitSith - Allows you to manipulate CaitSith's The Slots Limit Break. (cheat)

And another thing. This High Resolution Cloud...you may wish to post this download link instead which is a self-applying patch (not just .ffpatch file):
4. Higher quality Cloud mod (http://fem1.uniag.sk/Miroslav.Jezik/ff7/4._Higher_quality_Cloud_mod__by_Dreakon.zip)  by Dreakon (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?action=profile;u=869)
