FF8 Tools / Re: FF8 PSX File Extractor
« on: 2010-04-30 07:07:24 »
Yesterday worked on that extractor again...
Now it extracts near 120Mb of data.

http://mandrew182.org.ua/ff8extractor-20070827.tar.bz2
:) Mirror: http://www.filefactory.com/file/482721/

There is holes in image file, for which I cann't find yet any offsets for rest files.
0x000eb800 - 0x03f4f800 [62Mb]
0x03f69000 - 0x0a99c800 [106Mb]
after 0x121cf800 offset [~300Mb] - 95% there is streaming data such as video and adpcm sound
If look in hex editor first two "holes" I can clearly see rest files, just cann't find offsets for them in image file - maybe I'll extract them directly sector by sector later

can you reupload the dumper since the link has expired ^^" and also do you know in which program can we view these files??

39
^^' yea i wasnt

FF7 Tools / Re: Dissidia Models
« on: 2009-07-30 09:17:22 »
I think it's same as with Atrac audio format, in atrac case it's simply wav but wrapped in new header to make it look like if it was new format. I don't know really, I can be wrong.

Also here are the Dissidia tools coded by Vash, it has a GIM extractor aswell as other stuff which you can have a look at, maybe it will be of any use.

Rapidshare link for now since FileFront is doing some maintance.

Aurenasek can u reupload this file since tha link is broken and i cant get tha tools.........??

i bet Neo is proud and honored... that guy just signed on to the forums just to say that you are doing a great job!  :-D
haha yup i knw Neo frm quite sum time now so yea :P

47
good job man, looks a lot better then the last wip i saw. the right shoulder bumps up a bit too much.
yeah, gonna fix that :D

@Neo,  yep so breaking and unifying the normals fixed it.  I'm not sure what that did, but it worked!  Nice job on the Cloud by the way.  Did you create that texture from scratch?
The texture's actually a mix between CC cloud (about 80%) Dissidia Cloud (around 10%) and some texture art i did, which is also about 10%.
hey not bad Cloud nice piece of work u r doing
