Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to extract the files out of the PSX discs. Anything I've tried did not yield any positive result.

The tree directory format is here

The file names were stripped when the IMG was made

Thanks. I'll see what I can take out of this.

I added my notes about root filenames.

There's no such file in PSOne version. You have to extract the file directly from BIN sector. Because of that locating/ripping/reinputting files in big binary block is much harder than archives. PSOne doesn't even uses names like kernel.bin, just raw data.
What version do you have? US, European, English or maybe other language?

I use NTSC- USA version (with Requiem Mod), thats the point, i want to play that mod instead of the PC version.
I thought there was a tool like CDMage but for FF8. I was so naive :P
Thanks
