Hi strife98,

your problems my solutions ...

Thanks, I had already figured it out. I always did a maximum installation. I just had something that wasn't installed, thanks for your help, but now I have another problem. While I'm playing FF7 with mods, it runs fine, but it freezes after a while. When I open task manager I notice that it has been freezing when FF7 reaches 1.6mill k memory in the Processes tab. So far it's been constant, whenever it hits in between 1.6 mill kb and 1.7 mill kb the game freezes. Is there any way to fix this? It doesn't freeze at anything in particular, it just slowly starts increasing in memory starting from around 200,000 kb and freezing at around 1.6mill kb

Did you uninstall and then reinstall?

Yes multiple times and it didn't help, but I figured it out. I can't get it into full screen for some reason but I can at least play it, mods and all

That still didn't help at all. I still get a completely black screen. I even tried it in compatibility mode and it's still not working

May i have to download all this one by one? Or there is a torrent or something like that to make it easier?
one by one cause putting them all in one link would require permissions from every creator of the mods and that would take alot of time. thats why he said he's not going to repack everything in one download (not sure if it was here or a different thread he said that in but he said it)
If you have missing mods or settings after running Bootleg, try installing FF7 to a NON SYSTEM folder.
Don't use a folder like C:\Program Files\...
Instead, use a NON SYSTEM folder like C:\Games\FF7.

You will need to do a fresh maximum install of FF7 and run Bootleg.

I tried that, have it installed on my desktop and the video's still aren't playing in vanilla ff7, and i doubt installing the mods would fix that would it?

When I play from Bootlegger, the Squaresoft chocobo scene doesn't show up.  The only screen before the New Game/Continue? screen is an eidos logo.

The only time the running chocobos comes up for me is after the Game Over screen.

Well, see I wouldn't mind that, but bootlegger doesn't even start and I don't know how to fix it. Running vanilla FF7 starts the game but it doesn't play the intro cinimatic for the new game and doesn't go past it. Any way to fix it that anyone can think of?

Well, I think it might be a problem before installing bootleg, but it only gives the error when I install bootleg...like when I start Final Fantasy 7 without bootleg, it starts up at least, but it doesn't play any videos like the squaresoft screen with the running chocobo's. I think that bootleg is actually putting an error with that problem instead of having it play without the scenes.

@ Strife, what are you doing to receive those errors?  Is it after a successful Bootleg installation, or in the midst of one?

After it successfully installs. I start up with the FF7 bootloader and it comes up with those errors.

So, there is a problem. I think I've done everything needed. I get two errors, one says: "You have an error in your config file, some options may not have been parsed."
And when I click OK another error comes up saying: "Error loading movie plugin, cannot continue."

I've completely uninstalled, and reinstalled Final Fantasy 7 and I get the same error each time, any solution?

Edit: Also when I play Final Fantasy 7 without the mods, the game starts but it doesn't run the video's. The squaresoft vid with the chocobo's doesn't show up at all, and when I start a new game the screen stays blank. No stars, no Aeris nothing.
