Genuine question.  Why is this easier?  With the current ulgp, you drag the lgp over it and it extracts, or you drag the extracted folder over it and it compiles.

Ficedula hasn't logged in for over a month.  Is anyone else willing and able to to create this program?

253
Download kimera.  Run it, click on show char.lgp db.  Select the model you're interested in from the drop down menu, and it will list all the animations that model uses

254
Awesome news, good work!

As for the battleswirl_framerate = 60, Ali may have discontinued that option in the driver, I'm not sure.

It sounds to me like you've added the **da files to your battle.lgp correctly but messed up something with HextLaunch.  Basically, your battle is still running at 15fps, but your models are running at 60fps making them appear slow.  All I can say is to go through the steps in the installation text file again and make sure you've followed every step.

A drastic change?  No.  But I think if we keep pecking at it here and there, making tiny baby dents, eventually something will give.

I really don't think you're prepared to be creating animations from scratch.  But best of luck.

I'd like to first give my credentials for not being young and for having definitely been exposed to "real life".
The highest minimum wage (adjusted for inflation) was something like $8.50 an hour I think.  So while 7.25 is on the low side, it's not too far off the norm.  I think a lot of people demanding huge increases in minimum wage simply don't know how to live within their means (most likely due to a poor education/upbringing).
I don't understand the problem with businesses cutting lazy workers?  Do you want income? Do you know you'll be fired for being lazy?  Solution: quit being lazy.

There is a TON of corruption in politics.  That's basically Sanders slogan.  No one else up there is preaching about the rich getting richer by pushing their agendas in Congress.

I'm not trying to straw man your argument, but I think you're linking money with happiness saying people will never become wildly rich and successful.  Recent studies have shown that people who make around 60k are the happiest.  I would argue that being happy in life is far more important than making millions.

The problem with the Affordable Care Act is that it was originally crafted so that it could get through a corrupt Congress.  It didn't work.  So it had to be cut and cut and bastardized to the point that it's barely helpful at all.  That's why it's not some great magical healthcare reform.  It can't be.  There's too much corruption for something like that to happen.  But there's hope.  One candidate is running on a platform to battle all that corruption.

As far as everyone having healthcare, the US is arguably one of the most powerful and influential countries in the world.  Why in the hell can't we take care of our own citizens?  Yes everyone will die, but if you get a bad cut on your leg, and don't go to the hospital because of lack of insurance/healthcare, it gets infected and you die because you couldn't afford it, there's something wrong there.  We aren't some third world country.  We need to realize that the extremely rich are taking advantage of the system and us, and put a stop to it.  We need to quit putting a fucking price on everything.  A man shouldn't have to choose between feeding his family or getting his bad hip replaced so he can continue to work/live.

As for Trump, I like to think that the President should represent the best of us.  That isn't Trump.  Trump is an expression of our anger at the system.  Yes things need to change, but Jesus Christ, if Trump gets elected that's just one more step (leap) towards Idiocracy

I think the good thing about Sanders is he gets people involved and excited. He realizes for him to win, mass amounts of people have to vote. That could in turn result in establishment senators losing their seats in following elections

Playing it on Android right now, the menu is quite great, the controls are "ok" for touch controls and the graphics look great, so is the font used. The battle animations and the whole battle system in general is VERY smooth, it feels like it's 60 fps (UNCONFIRMED!, this is simply how it feels like to my eyes, it's really smooth) but entering a battle, there's still that dreaded delay we had on the original game..
So far, i'd say it's a really good port. Also, there's an option to skip FMV's, good for Excalibur 2 speedrunners.

There was a video posted a while back where someone had hacked into the PSX version and had the battle running at 60fps (the only issue was the psx couldn't handle it).  It would be pretty awesome if SE implemented it

263
Should he get elected, I'd be surprised if he served two terms.  My guess is he would get down to business in that first term and not have to worry about trying to get reelected

264
Actually, ulgp http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=12831.0 is the best for extracting and recompiling lgp files.  It's easier to use.

The way it works is, if you drag your battle.lgp file on top of ulgp.exe, it will extract all of the battle contents into a new folder (battle.lgp will create a battle folder, magic.lgp will create a magic folder, etc).  From there, all you have to do is copy the 60fps files over the ones in the new folder.  Once that's done, you drag the folder over ulgp.exe and it will recompile all the files back into an lgp file.  Put that file back into your game data folder and you're ready to go.

True, he's old. But him getting elected can show the population that we do still have some say in politics and can change things.

As well as he and trump are doing, I think at least by next election we will start to see a real change in government.

I'm not saying I like trump, I'm saying people like him because they perceive him as anti establishment

The only issue I have with the original waifu upscale was the creation of lines that weren't there originally.  You can kind of see what I mean on the 3rd image that satsuki posted on the big wall on the right.  I can't unsee them

I'm on my phone right now but from what I can tell it would definitely be worth it.

There are also a few battle scenes that haven't been remade yet that would probably benefit as well

Another point is that since the news of the remake of FFVII everything feels like a waste of time, and it takes a lot of time to recreate a scene in full glory.

Don't say that.  I've been working on a project for over 6 years now.  I'd hate to think that's been a waste of time.

People like Clinton because they recognize her name.  There are also more than a few people that think "It's time for a woman president"

People like Trump because he stands up against the establishment and he doesn't play games like other politicians (If he wins, I'm actually very curious to find out how much of what he says is just pandering to the right demographic so he can get votes)

You know what the real problem is though?  Education.  We're so damn uneducated and gullible that it's likely one of these two will be president.  It's a god damned disaster.  Just look at the other options in the republican party if you really want to see how pathetic things have gotten.

Just saw this.  60fps on FFIX
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhQ11oh-lL8&feature=youtu.be

He also managed 30fps in the actual battle, though the engine does struggle.

What are the chances whatever he did could be incorporated into FF7PC and even FF8PC?

I would like an interface where the hrc is loaded and each bone is labeled (i.e. hip root) and has a box beside it where the bone length is displayed.   This box can then be easily edited using the numpad on the keyboard to input whatever length is desired.  It would also be helpful for them to be in a list format so that multiple bone lengths can be displayed at once so scrolling is minimized. For my purposes, it would be IMMENSELY helpful to be able to temporarily store lengths so that with the click of a button, the saved lengths can be applied to the new hrc without having to manually type each one in.  So if I want to change hip root from 1.0 to 1.2 and apply it to others, I could click a box beside the length to save whatever number has been input, once a new hrc is loaded, another box can be pushed to load 1.2 in place of whatever number the hrc originally had.  This is most beneficial for skeletons like Cloud where there are 64 other models that have his exact same structure.

As far as adding new bones that don't do anything, that may throw errors in kimera, but should work fine in game.  If it's easy to do, it could be worth trying, at least until a proper converter is made for them

Sure, should be trivial.

How would you intend to input the information? Give a couple of examples of the changes you'd be making.

I would want to be able to type them in. It would need to load the hrc to verify how many and what bones.

The only issue, like kaldarasha was saying, is that some of the models, like the children, use animations that adults use due to having the same number of bones. However, I think that problem can be bypassed by not adjusting bone lengths too severely

Ok guys, yes this is ancient, but I have a request.  I have no idea how to make programs, and I have a huge task of manually resizing each and every NPC to certain, specific sizes.  This means I have to manually edit the .hrc file for every bone.

It would save me months of work if someone could create a program, very similar to this one, that instead of adjusting the bones by a percentage, adjusts them based on the numbers inputted.  Thanks in advance if anyone is up to this or even has the know how.
