Can anyone help with FF7Music?
« on: 2005-11-03 00:34:34 »
Hi,

So I've been trying to get FF7 Music(1.5.1) to work with my High Res applied version of FF7. I am relatively new to this, but I think I have everything set up properly in the FF7music.ini. When I run FF7Music it even tells me found 93 files (I am replacing with PSF by the way), but when I run ff7 from here, the midi still plays for some reason. Even If I turn off my sound in windows before hand, it still plays. If i alt tab out and mute the MIDI output after starting to play, it turns off, but no other music plays :| Herein lies my problem. I have tried to use in_mp3 and mp3s to do the replacing but to no avail...is there some step I am missing here? I dont think ff7 music is replacing the midis.
BTW: I used the latest FFSF .ini and changed everything besides the filenames and locations accordingly.

My Log file:
DataPath is F:\Program Files\Final Fantasy VII\ficedula\
Init patches
Reading ini...
Parsing paths... -currently F:\PSF
F:\Program Files\Final Fantasy VII\ficedula\
.\

File search paths:
   F:\PSF\
   F:\Program Files\Final Fantasy VII\ficedula\
   .\
Files count: 93
Patch init done
----------------------------------------------
WM_ACTIVATEAPP
etc..

Thanks to anyone with any insight :)

Well, i have the latest hi res patch, ff7music, AND the minigames patcher all playing nice together.  I dunno what you people are doing, but... *shrugs*

I AM using ff7music 1.5, because 1.5.1 was acting all slow and buggy *shrugs*  Try that =)

Got it working! :D

Apparently you have to have the music files and plugins in the same folder. I was running the plugins from a seperate folder.
