Hey guys, one of the other things I do aside from 3D art and software is MUSIC! My band performed a sweet gig this weekend and I wanted to share the vids with you! (all J-rock / anime tunes)

You've got a good idea of how it all works so far! Before you mess with the texture more, refine the model.

Could you post the texture sheet? It looks awfully like Dissidia 012 tifa

133
dun worry. We could all use TEXMOD and make our own HD textures.

That'll require anything we want to texture to... have textures. FF7 doesnt do that very much...

134
Tolden, unless you have normal maps for your textures, I would suggest modeling such details as the stones on the upstairs floor of the blacksmiths' shop.

keep the feel/spirit the same, otherwise go to town on tiny details.

One way of thinking about it a few people liked was figure if you down scaled your version to the old one and it looked nearly the same - s'good!

Do all the area's like cyberman said where the upperplate is featured, and sector 8, then just fill in the city.

Back when I was learning 3d modeling I attempted to make characters as his model was theoretically gonna end up in crysis 1... AFAIK he's left his model alone for years now.

Made this years ago for noen, perhaps you can slap it in somewhere.

Bonus XP if you know the reference.

I had a work in prog of the loveless poster, but I'd likely just restart it.

While some of blender's tools are useful for retopo, in most cases I'd stick to custom work. Until the highrez is ready though, don't fret on it.

decent layout, sector 1/8 have something to work from, but most dont. However I'd maintain yer road structure throughout. Keep it up.

For a game engine I'd remodel the entire city and bake off the highrez to texture it - you'll get a very sexy very smooth running gig with that.

Graphical / Re: Where can i download textures from FFVII?
« on: 2012-06-14 15:30:30 »
unfortunately in most cases, ff7 didn't use textures, so you'll have to make some yourself. There is plenty of reference images on the googles though.

Killerx20, yer giving me hype. Semester is done in a few days, I might even get some ff7 work crammed out!

I tend to not take compilation titles into consideration, they tend to tack shit on when it suits them. It would make sense for trains to have a central bay in the main pillar though... so MORE OFF RAMPS!
