7th Heaven / Re: Translate "Jessie Mod" in German
« on: 2019-04-28 03:33:08 »
Or is it possible to edit a Mod?
I can unpack the .iro but than i have chunk files these i canĀ“t edit.

Thank you for help.
Unpacking the iros doesn't seem to work correctly. It will stop before the whole package is unpacked.

Just use FF7_BC.exe. MO isn't actually needed.

That is their current setting.
Are you sure? It looks like you have them reversed in your original post.

Here is my game path.

F:\FFVII\steamapps\common\FINALFANTASYVII

I intentionally quadruple checked all my paths. They are correct. I also followed these steps:

I get that error message when I attempt to launch. I'm using launcher ver 1.5.6.0 and the launch order is correct. I patched the game successfully. I even restarted from scratch. Any ideas?

I overwrote it last night as I was re-reading the FAQ and managed to get the sound to work, I did as you said and now the post-processing error stopped! so I appreciate that. The only issue left is the 7h launcher won't auto updated, and the new problem at hand; battle textures won't load! even when I place em directly under enemy models.
There is no newer version right now. That update is the error, not the lack of update.

Did you give it time to update the catalog? Did you ensure that the iro address was copied exactly with no spaces in front or behind it?

How do all these people in steam say you can mod the game and get achievements hmm

Old school modding by actually modding the game files. 7th Heaven doesn't modify any game files but also doesn't run through Steam.

TRy running the GC again as admin and overwrite. Seems like it's missing a file.

Why are you installing Reunion manually? Are you not running on 7th Heaven? If not, then your post is in the wrong area. If you are, then you should start fresh with a clean steam install, then follow the tutorial for installing mods via 7th heaven. 7th heaven uses a wrapper and injects the changes directly into the RAM, so it doesn't actually modify game files to play the game. So installing Reunion manually will probably mess some things up if you're using 7th Heaven.

Where is your game installed? Where are you running GC from?

should i disable textures if i have the remako mod installed?
and also, if i save with the mods activated, can i go back to the same save with th mods disabled. sorry. kinda new with forums.
remako affects field textures, so if you use both Remako and another field texture mod, the higher one in the load order will get overwritten.  As of now, playing the game modded uses a different saves folder. So the saves for modded (via 7th Heaven) and unmodded are going to be separate. I believe you can change your save folder within 7th Heaven, but I'm uncertain at this time as I just made a symlink out of the folders.

I'm using the steam version of FFVII. When playing vanilla FFVII the controller works fine, but when launching through 7th heaven with mods, I can only use keyboard, even though it shows in the config menu that controller binds are present. Anyone able to get a xbox one controller working with 7th heaven?

Thanks

I'm on Windows 10 with everything up to date.
Ick. Not much help for you, my XBox One controller just worked out the box. Sorry. You can try using Antimicro to map your keyboard functions to controller buttons. The advantage is you get use of the D-Pad separately from the joystick and analog run with a little bit of configuration.

Try rerunning the GC and overwrite.

Don't use FF7_mo... Use FF7_bc.exe.

"D:\gaming\games\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\/shaders/Nvidia_ComplexMultiShader/ComplexMultiShader.post"
>seems not right
try "D:\gaming\games\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\shaders\Nvidia_ComplexMultiShader\ComplexMultiShader.post" instead
and check you have the shader in the folder used ^^
How would you change that? I ran into the same issue when trying to use the post processing shader setup through the mod. The shaders were in the folder but always failed.

oh strawberries, that worked.  Thank you sir
Cool beans. Glad I could dig up some help.

I guess I should just delete the current mo.exe from the game converter, rename bc.exe to mo.exe, and change the tutorial to state only needing mo.exe (renamed bc.exe) when using Menu Overhaul?
Wait and see?  It does make sense to ditch the MO version since BC will run everything, but it also seems as if DLPB is *this close* to releasing R06, and you'd probably end up having to do conversion re-work twice since he works with a tool chain that seems to be quite different from 7H.
Agree. Easier to rewrite the tutorial and exclude mention of ff7_mo.exe for now so new users aren't confused, and then rework it once the new version of the mod/exe release.

I've been trying to install mods through 7th Heaven, and everytime I press Launch Game, I get this error:

Is there a way I can fix this, I've already tried doing a clean install multiple times and the game starts outside of 7th Heaven just fine. Thanks in advance
I'm getting the same error man, I can't figure this out for the life of me.  Anyone else?
Try this

I turned it off since it wasn't working. Believe me, i had it on and was using the correct exe.
Well, posting your list as it is and not as it was when seeing the error is not helpful to solving the issue.

I am trying to get the menu overhaul to work (the one from the reunion mod) but it seems to be out of alignment and the battle menu has some garbage on it. Also the colors seem to be a bit off on the materia. Anyone know what could cause this?

Some pictures, print screen key doesn't work with the 98 pc version so i had to use a camera:

That definitely isn't the overhauled menu. Make sure you're using ff7_mo.exe or ff7_bc.exe depending on if you're using Beacause with it or not.

Antimicro is free and worked for me after I set it to run as admin. XPadder is $9.99 and also worked like a charm set to run as admin. I use an XBoxOne controller and it worked like a charm. I just didn't map anything to the face or shoulder buttons in Antimicro or Xpadder and just mapped the triggers, Dpad and analog stick since the rest of the buttons worked perfectly fine in game. The analog stick works for analog run by setting a 85% threshold and then it presses a direction and the keyboard button mapped to cancel. This way my controller can do everything I need it to.

Verified on both Antimicro and Xpadder.
