I miss the old non violent games...
« on: 2010-08-15 10:46:55 »
Just played my ps2 again and I stumbled on one of my harvest moon games. I guess I've been busy killing or shooting at soldiers I forgot about farm life. :'(

Get the PSP and play the harvest moons they have out for that. They remade that one that was on PS2 that didn't allow dating, not only is it better but has marriage in it this time. And of course the boy and girl one is pretty nostalgic.

Lol yeah I knew about those but I was just sad to thinking that I believe there's no harvest moon for the xbox360 or ps3.

Little Big Planet is a delightful non-violent game. You should check it out.

harvest moon is actually available as a cell phone game now, its a pretty fun time waster. I always liked the one for the SNES the best.

Yep, the Wii sure does suck, I mean, seriously.  What system could possibly have Harvest Moon, and still be good  8)

Well considering that harvest moon has been on most systems. IDK, harvest moon isn't everyones cup of tea. My sister will farmville to death but I offer her my PsP to play the girl harvest moon and she flat out refuses. While I'm semi opposite. Tried farmville and hated it. But harvest moon is one of those ones that I pick up whenever I need a time waster I can enjoy.

I loved Harvest moon friends of Mineral town the most, the only complaint I ever had about the previous versions especially the one for the snes was that the days passed way to quickly, and Harvest moon Ds just plain sucked in my opinion, other than that, Mineral Town is actually a game I play a lot, meaning I tend to take it more seriously than just a time waster.

For me, it was never that the days passed too quick, but more that you ran out of energy way too quick.

Harvest Moon 64 was an AWESOME game. [sarcasm] If you wanna try non-violent, try Duke Nukem. [/sarcasm] You should totally try B-Boy on the PSP if you're a dancer. I know I enjoyed it!

Lemme see. Oldest game I remember besides pong is hugo's adventures.

Another rare but nonviolent for the PSP is Brooktown High. Basically a highschool date sim. Tech demo looked better then the game that rolled out.

Friends of Mineral towns basically. I have it both for PS1 and the one bundled in the Boy&Girl PSP game. It is definantly the best one. I got a new one for PSP and ended up not liking it as much but still playing it out of the fact that I plan to get my $20 out of it.

theres a lil violence, but the game Zeus: Master Of Olympus is by far one of my favourites, mostly just about building up your city, the only violence comes from invading cities and occasional monsters
