In this video it says that Squall is inappropriately translated SEVERAL times from Japanese to English, where they mistranslate so many responses to "Whatever". It would be awesome if this is something on the list to get fixed.

So in some cases he could say "Why is she bothering me?" or "Is this really important?" or "Do we really have to listen to this?" or "Great, here we go..." or "Pardon me". There are so many ways things can be written and make the dialogue way more interesting but stay close to the original intent.
