Me? Home version. I upgraded from Windows 8.1. But people had these problems before Windows 10 as well... I also reinstalled the game after I upgraded. Maybe it is an OS problem like JeMa said. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Happy Birthday from me as well. Have a good one.

Thanks for the reply and for the correction where to put the tonberry contents.
Unfortunately, game wont run with d3d9.dll in the directory. No crash thing, it just don't start at all.  :|

No problem. Ah...that particular problem... Some people have that issue and most don't. Sadly, I don't know how to solve that. And I'm not sure if someone else has or not. You can always try an older version(go back about a version or two) and see if it gives you the same results.

Good day guys!

This isn't my first time to use this FF8 MOD. I've done this before and it worked well. I just don't know what happen now and I tried to fix it before posting here. Well the problem is that, it's not working at all... there's no changes in graphics.

I'm using TonberryEnhanced2.04. Contents are changed except from the .dll files and the original contents of "tonberry" folder from TonberryEnhanced2.04

I added the hashmap files from http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=15945.msg223951#msg223951 to D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VIII\TonberryEnhanced2.04\tonberry\hashmap I also replaced collisions.csv & hash2map.csv taken from the previous link.

PS: off course I did not forget the main files which are the textures to be place on textures folder on TonberryEnhance2.04 Files are taken from http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=391096600

I last tried this mod working on Windows 7. I'm on Windows 10 now.
TIA, I hope you can help me. :3

The OS won't affect Tonberry since I'm using Windows 10 and all is well. Were you using an older version of Tonberry at some point? If so, you also have to replace the .dll files with the new versions.

Another thing I noticed is that you put the folder "TonberryEnhanced2.04" in the game directory. What you're supposed to do is take the content out of that folder and put it in the directory instead. Not use the folder itself.

105
Thanks for figuring it out. I assumed it might be another code to something else. So to make this 100% without problems(I hope), I'll just combine them together. Thanks again I'll try and get it all fixed soon.

Edit: Okay, it's up. Be sure to replace/delete the old textures and use the new ones. And use the edited hashmap as well. Hope this sorts out all the problems.

im at disc 2, as soon as you get the roaming balamb garden and have access to the chocobo forest near the shumi village

Then I'm at a loss... But I'll try to figure it out nonetheless.

I'd be fine with them in the pack, and I didn't mean to neglect her SeeD uniform texture, I just couldn't find her textures in any other folder. The low-poly textures would require the eyes to be dumbed down in a specific way, and I didn't know if I could get that just right, since the other textures just needed a simple drag-and-drop.

Ah, okay. Oh, no, I didn't mean that you had to. I meant that I could do it for you. Since Devina didn't change the skin tones and you already applied the new eyes, all I need to do is scale the face and align. Not too hard all things considered. So no worries. :)

107
I don't think there should be... It should only be because of the codes and how Tonberry sometimes does with textures... Which I changed. At what point in the game are you?

108
I don't use Chocobos that often in the game. But when I did use them, no. Actually...it shouldn't do that at all now because I literally renamed the codes in the new hashmap.

109
Back in March, Devina released an image slice that replaced Quistis's fisheyes with FF/KH style ones. A few weeks ago, I took all 6 Quistis textures from the pack, and replaced the eyes with Devina's new ones. Just replace those 6 subfolders of /textures/qu with these: http://www.mediafire.com/download/s33urhm4lq2nmon/qu.zip

I noticed you posted those awhile back. I meant to ask you if you wanted them added to the RF pack or just remain separate. I would also put them on the SeeD Uniform of Quistis and on her low poly models as well. You know, consistency and all that. :D

110
Out of curiosity... Are you also using the objmap?

111
Even now, huh? Looks like the best action is for me to just name them one thing rather than split them up to prevent it from happening. Since I'll never be able to figure out which codes do and don't cause that to happen.

Edit: It's been done. Hope this fixes the problem. Also added a few textures.

112
If turning off the Steam Overlay didn't fix it, then I'm not sure what's causing it. You can always try an older version and see if that makes a difference. I also see that you don't have a dedicated GPU so maybe your computer can't handle it?

113
And it only does this when you're trying to use Tonberry?

114
If you're using 2.04, then all you need is collisions and hash2map. Hash1map is Project Eden, but that has it's own hashmap now so you don't need that one. Not sure what that objfile you have is. Also, make sure you turn off the Steam Overlay or your game will crash.

115
No problem. I hope you can get it working now. :)

116
yes a custom driver, i was told that works with FF8 to make the mods work

Ah... Okay, I see. Then you're trying to use Aali's driver. It's not needed to make the textures work in FF8 Steam and is probably causing you a lot of problems. All you need is Tonberry, the textures, and the hashmaps.

117
A patch...? I think I'm a little lost. What driver are we talking about? I know you said your game won't run when putting the Tonberry files in from another post you made.

118
Are you using anything other than just Tonberry with your FF8? Also, where did you go to find the details for the errors?

119
Can someone reupload  these ?????>>>>> For PS3 Controllers using SpcServer

pleasee

Until Mcindus has the new links for all his mods, someone has uploaded them and posted links on this page.

Thanks for this mod. Its been quite some time since i played FF8 and i don't remember seeing that boss in the second before picture, who is he?

You're welcome. :) I assume you're talking about Griever. He's one of the bosses in the final battle of the game.

121
Well I'll be, looks like verifying took care of it.  I was banging my head against a wall all day yesterday trying to figure out what was going on.  Thanks!

Glad that fixed it for you and apologies for not getting back to you sooner. You're welcome. :)

122
I recommend trying the "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache" option that Steam has. It has helped fix problems that other people have had that are also similar to yours. Sometimes games don't always download properly, so think of this as a way of repairing any files that might not be working correctly. Hopefully it'll work for you as well.

123
Hm... If you think it's a mod, try disabling it by putting the hashmaps in the "disable" folder. If it still does it, I would try the "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache" option that Steam has. Or perhaps reinstall the game. Doing so shouldn't get rid of the mods you placed or save files. But you will have to reinstall R&W if you're using that. I feel like someone had this same issue before as well. Are you using any other programs while playing FFVIII?

124
Does this need to be installed over the old Tonberry 1.5, or in a totally clean installation? And we need old hasmap 1.3?

Because with this new Tonberry version, the xbox button mod, seems to not works.

I've always just been updating by dragging all the files of the newest version into my directory and choosing to let it replace the old ones. The files you need to keep are hash2map and collisions. You don't need hash1map at this point because you can download all the separate hashmaps you want to use on the first page of this thread.

If you already have SeeD Reborn installed, you should only have to drag the folder with the textures into the "texture" folder and it should replace the necessary files. But without SeeD Reborn(or at least it's hashmap), this mod won't work.

125
Do I need any hashmap file if I use Tonberry 1.5?

Been awhile since I've used v1.5. You'll still need them depending on which mods you're going to use. But, at the same time, v1.5 is slower and can crash depending on certain scenarios. A majority of these problems have been resolved on the newest version. And in this version hash1map already has the codes for Project Eden, SeeD Reborn, and TT I believe?
