If you need someone to test the italian translation I can do it :mrgreen:

It's much harder then I thought playing FF8 with the normal character textures when you know there are much better ones... Damn it, why Square-enix didn't consider the modding community when they did the steam release?! >:(

Hi, I just notice this mod doesn't work with other languages and I don't understand why. Is there any way to make it works in italian, please?

It isn't like the italian translation gets messed up, the translation is fine. It's the textures, they don't get replaced so I still have the old menù textures...

Btw, it seems that the save files don't bother if you switch between italian and english translation, so I will play in english until there is a fix and then I will switch again in italian.  8)

Ahahahah, it's true it's true. I actually learn something about modding from Oblivion and Skyrim, but nothing so complicated like programming, script and tools. In next years, when I will finish university, I may actually try to learn this stuff :D

Hi guys! First of all, thanks for all your hard work! Mods are a great incentive to play again old great games like FF8!  ;D

So.. Are you guys still trying to add in game Magochocobo's beautiful textures? From what I read in this topic, his textures are for battle models, but Magochocobo said he made also field textures (but never release it...). It would be really awesome to see his textures in game, it's just the last modification we might need at this point. :|

I can understand that, but I wouldn't know what to do, I'm not a modder, I'm sorry. So until someone can figure out the needed information, we are stuck with not be able to use Magochocobo's great textures. It's a shame, but patience.. :(

Ok, thanks! Then if I buy a steam version the textures will work? Do you know how to install it, please? Tomberry looks easy to install, it's just download the two files and copy/past then, but the Magochocobo's textures?

@Buster Swd: sorry man, I'm playing with your mod but I'm still in disc1 so I still don't see all this problems with the mod. Is there any complete version download with just all fixes? And what about the PRP Zack you posted? It's another mod or a fix? Can you post a image if it's a mod, please?

EDIT: fixed by editing the files and replacing the Shinra Soldiers models with the originals.

I have a backup of all lpg files without mods, so maybe if someone know which files belong to the chocobo I can copy and paste them... Noone?  :(

Hi guys, I don't really need a tool, but maybe this is the most right section to open this topic.

I want to merge  together some grafichal mods I found all over internet (character's models), in order to have exactly each character's model I want without that the other mods overwrite each other.

I used lgp tools 1.60 to open the lgp files, but all the files inside have strange names so I don't understand what file is a character or another.

What I would like to know, if someone can help me, is what are the files I need to copy and paste for each characters. I will post a list of the characters I want to modify:

- Battle.lgp: Cloud, Cloud as Shinra's Soldier (if it exist), Sephiroth, Shinra's Soldiers, Aerith and Tifa.

- Char.lgp: Cloud, Cloud as Shinra's Soldier, Sephiroth, Shinra's Soldiers, Aerith and Tifa.

- World_us.lgp: Cloud, Cloud as Shinra's Soldier (if it exist), Sephiroth, Shinra's Soldiers, Aerith and Tifa.

Hi guys, I have a problem with the italian translation patch for FF7.

After installed some mods, I installed the italian patch: magic and menù was still in english because of the mods, but story and dialogues was in italian, so no problems.

Yesterday I installed the mod "Menù Overhaul M05c": it's a nice mod, I like it, but all the dialogues return to be in english! I tried to install the italian patch again, but it doesn't recognize any lgp file so it doesn't work.

Does someone know a way to retranslate the dialogues (I don't care about magic and menù in english), please?

@squall8cloud7: first of all, thanks for your work, I really like APZ Cloud and I was hoping that someone will convert it to a field model. So thank you  :-D

May I ask you how long does it take to add the sword on his back, please? I'm mean the release. Cloud seems incomplete without it. :(
