Troubleshooting / [7th Heaven] Bypass "verify my files"?

Hello. After modding various files within Final Fantasy 7, and launching it via 7th Heaven, I continually get this message:

Checking FF7 is not running ...
Checking FF7 .exe exists at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\ff7_en.exe ...

Verifying installed game is compatible ...
YUFFIE: Urrk!! Something's wrong with your installation, and it... ulp... Use Steam's "Verify my files" tool or reinstall from CD to fix.
Failed to launch FF7. View the above log for details.

I've attempted to get around this by installing these changes by creating my own mod, but options to learn that are few and far between, let alone actually INSTALLING it. I've searched around Steam, and 7th Heaven to no avail. Some guidance would be very appreciated. (p.s, don't suggest going to 7th Heaven's respective discord servers. Not a fan of discord.)

Hi. After making edits to many of the field models in the game, one of them has caused trouble. Using KimeraCS, I've edited Tifa's model, and, after importing it into char.lgp using ULGP, and viewing the changes in Makou Reactor, Tifa's edits would not appear, despite others (Yuffie, President Shinra, etc.) showing up via the field model viewer, as well as the game itself.

So, in the went into the Archive Manager within Makou Reactor, and replaced all .p files that were edited. Through that, Tifa's edits were viewable in Makou Reactor, but no changes in-game still. No changes to the model have edited the polygons themselves if that matters.

If the encoding you're referring to isn't the metadata, than what is it exactly that I would have to extract/copy from the original file, to the edited files?
Pardon my ignorance, this kind of stuff is quite lost to me. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

By parameters, are you referring to metadata of the file?

Support / [PC-2013] Edited Cutscene Causes Black Screen

Hey. So, I edited a cutscene, exported it as an .mp4 file, converted it using an mp4 to avi file converter, and put the file back into the movies folder. Within the game, the cutscene doesn't play at all, and just goes to a black screen with the music from the previous scene still playing.

The cutscene is still the same length as before, and I haven't touched the .cam file, due to my lack of knowledge with understanding what it exactly does.

Alright, two things:

1: Would you happen to know where I would find the .dat files containing the battle quotes?

2: When saving my changes, what .exe is the program referring to? Is it the FF8.exe, or the program itself?

This is excellent. Thanks! Although, just out of curiosity, is this tool compatible with player battle quotes, since, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Ain't a deal breaker if not, but I though I'd ask.

Hey. I've been searching for the battle dialogue files, but to no avail. I am aware of them being located in .dat files, but I'm unsure of where they are.

FF7 Tools / [FF7 PS1) Exporting battle animations

Hi. New around here. I was wondering how exactly I would go about exporting the battle animations from Final Fantasy 7, from a clean rom that I have. I've researched various ways of doing so online, but most if not all solutions involve the PC version. I've already worked a lot on the rom version of the game, so I don't plan on importing my progress onto the PC version.

Let me know if I was unclear about anything. Thanks.

Hi. New to this place. Uh, I've got a question about the Map Editor. Whenever I create an edit to the palette of a field in the palette section, it doesn't save when I click the save button under the file button.
