mmm but 1280x720 is 4x320 and 3x240. I guess it should be the same multiplier on X and Y

Well, seems fine then.

Talking about patchs, I'm right at the start of CD2 now. When the snowboard ride is about to begin, it throws me to desktop (memory access violation). I'll try again without the YAMP later to see if it has any issue with non-english version (or maybe it is my mix of US exe and Spanish game). Are you using, by any chance, like me, the US exe over a non-US game in order to use the high-res patch?

But Bloodlines is an action RPG, I don't think the console-type RPGs can be "emulated" accurately (mainly battle system and such)

Well, first of all, I must say your mod suggestion on the materia system seems interesting, but it would need to rework the gameplay core, I don't think this can be done only with a little program running in the background, or if it can actually be done :P

And in respect to the maxstat limit... well, it's all up to you. If you want, say, Barret, with high power but little magic, just max out power stat (255) and let magic be 128, for example. No one is forcing you to give him 255 ;)

I can confirm spanish version. BTW, maybe watching the ending credits video can help, usually it mentions the credits for all the localization teams in europe area, I think.

I know this is not an option for doing any kind of patch but I'm wondering if the game can read the videos the same way if they are coded with, say, standard DivX. I mean, if it can read them simply recoding the videos with a "normal" codec without modifying anything else, providing you have that codec installed and working.

Same that happened to me before installing the truemotion codec under XP. Maybe is the reason?

So, anyone have the full ASCII > FF7 text conversion table (an HEX > FF7 table would work too)? I figured standard alphanumeric values, but I really need Ñ, á, é... you know, all that characters not used in english but pretty usual in latin languages :P I tried searching the forums to no avail, but I need it for my translation of the in-game menus of FFVII.

Before a Mod complains about double-posting, I did that this time because this thread was in the 2nd page of the forum, and no one would notice the update without a bump. If it is still incorrect, notify me and I'll start a whole new topic next time, but it would be nonsense to me...

It is supposed to change, I guess. I think it would be more feasible to search for a variable name rather than a memory location (but don't quote me on that, I'm just starting to learn programming, so i could be wrong). Anyways, it should be possible. BTW, with "exerience value" you are referring to the "increment", i guess...
