Hello jusete!

I have a minor criticism to the color choice for the roofs in Kalm. As you can see in this video (https://youtu.be/v_inrmMealQ?t=267), the color of the roofs is quite different and makes a much nicer contrast with the color used for the square's cobblestones.

The color of the wall where the stairs are could also be better, I think. In the original game, and that video above shows it, it has some better contrast with the pavement of the stair and the floor above where the stores are. It has more of a red tint and it does look nicer.

The rest is of course wonderful, as always!

Keep up the great job!

Beautifully done!

Thanks!

First of all, congratulations, Dan.

I am very happy to see R06 out even if there seems to be a few nasty problems, which you have anyway anticipated and will be working on the next days.

A small reply to unab0mb: the retranslation itself wouldn't seem to you a very valid reason to have Reunion's Beacause?

It's an honest question, not meant to be inflammatory.

Cheers!

It seems we are getting close to the (R06's) finishing line.

Excellent!

It seems it's just an unlucky combination of two negative factors (DLPB being sick and kaldarsha a bit delayed) which may delay the release a little further.

DLPB said that deadlines help getting him into a modding frenzy and be more productive so in that sense they can be an "internal" asset but on the other hand they make him lose credibility because they are punctually missed, often by quite a margin.

Personally I believe the benefit outweighs the negative so I say: keep motivating yourself using deadlines even in the future, Dan, because we all win when your passion for your project keeps burning bright.

131
It may be a matter of hours... minutes... :)

132
Deadlines can be a powerful incentive.

If you didn't have one set you wouldn't have probably even realized, despite past experiences, the amount of work that still needed to be done.

Godspeed!

Excellent work!

You do deserve a nice vacation now, jusete.

134
It's exciting to know that little more than a week is left before the so long awaited version 06 will be out.

How are you going to celebrate Dan?

Cheers!

135
I think you can, Dan.

But if not, we all know you eventually will and that's the most important.

Godspeed!

136
DLPB,

can you give us a rough estimate of R06's file size?

Cheers!

Very good!

It's impressive to see how much ground you covered in a relatively short period, jusete.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Simply beautiful!

In my opinion the color contrast between the ground on the upper shop  and the wall just under is too strong and the original cobblestones pattern look better style-wise. But this is just minor nitpicking for an otherwise splendid rendition!

Thanks again, jusete!

The new version of Reunion should be behind the corner now and the translation is going to be massively different.

Are you going to update the Italian one accordingly?

141
Well, dear DLPB, it seems we are really close to the R06 release.

That day we will all need to drink something to celebrate.

And then a well deserved pause to lay back and enjoy what you and your collaborators have accomplished.

142
Hello DLPB,

thanks for your reply. What you say makes perfect sense to me. Thanks for the clarification.

We are all looking forward to celebrating R06 together once it's out. I know there will be R07 but R06 is a milestone of capital importance.

Cheers!

DLPB,

I, like many others, have been long time fans and supporters of this great project. I know I have not earned or acquired any right to give suggestions or advice but, hoping to not do any harm discussing the Formation/Order/Form choice, I was wondering: could "Lineup" perhaps be a word that may fit well in this case?

Godspeed and thanks for all the work!

More and more impressive.

I didn't know this game could attract so many talented people.

The real Final Fantasy VII remake will be produced here on Qhimm. :)

145
DLPB,

may I ask whether you have been creating your own tool practically all by yourself?

And additionally, what you believe its current downsides are?

Thanks again for the hard work and for sharing it with us.

And welcome back!

Thanks, UpRisen.

The mod consists of two files only: scene.bin and kernel.bin to replace the original ones. That is all.

Hello!

I am probably asking a very silly/newbie question but I didn't seem to find a straight answer easily. I have authored a small modification for FF7 a long time ago and was wondering what needs to be done to make it compatible with the 7Heaven format.

Thanks.

149
Great job, Dan!

I won't even ask why your game is in french. :-)

jusete,

first of all, congratulations on acquiring a new house to live in and for becoming soon "one of us" married people! I wish you the best of luck!

Said that, wow.... More wonderful creations that are really giving us all hope that one day we will play the game with update graphics that are both new and at the same time quite faithful to the original art! We couldn't really ask for more.

Square Enix should have hired Dan (Reunion), UpRisen, Kaldarasha, you, jmp434 and a few others for the visual upgrade and a few more (including Tsunamods for professional Voice Over coordination) to just revamp the game. With your pooled talent we would have improved a game that only needed that very kind of improvements you are sharing with the community for free.

Thanks a lot!
